City of Garland Reviews

  • May 6, 2014

On April 28, 2014, I went to the local post office to mail a few things and arrived back within 20 minutes. I arrived home around 10:15am. My car was tagged with a big red sticker that was placed in on my windshield on the driver's side. There were also tire markings made. I was under the assumption that to prove that a car is abandoned and not driven, the tire marks are placed and then in 24 hours, the city checks to see if the car has moved.

It was reported to the city that my car has not moved in over a year. I work a full time job and my car moves every single day (unless someone knows of a car service with a driver that i have inherited). When i called to ask about the reasons behind the sticker, the annoyance, the pain. All i was told is that it was reported and so they acted.

From what I gather, I can report any false claim i want about anyone that I don't like or even if i am bored I can go around reporting cars and they will mark up their tires and put big red stickers without anyone investigating the situation. It also caused me to spend 2 hours trying to get the sticker off because of the adhesive and I had to call my husband to leave work early in order to pick up my daughter from school.

I don't need to be harassed by a city in which i pay taxes and never bother anyone. Thing is, when you call to complain about something, they do not hear you. Of course my car has moved in over a year!! My inspection was done in November 2013 you freaking morons!

A bunch of idiots run the city of Garland. That's why they are in trouble now over trying to deport illegals who have worked for them for over 20 years.
