I will be waiting for your answer, remember this is a special promotion limited to a certain number of reservation, so let’s hurry and book your next vacation as soon as possible."

The benefit I am reporting is the "450 usd Resort Credit." After booking and PAYING in FULL for my December vacation, I received an email from my travel agent "Xochitl" sending me a coupon book that has a total value of $500.

I emailed my agent back immediately stating that I did not sign up for a coupon book, but rather a resort credit. A resort credit implies a cash credit that can be used anywhere in the resort, IE. the Spa, Restaurants, or any hotel activities.

I would have never agreed to a time share presentation for a book full of coupons that I will never use, as they are mostly for excursions that I am not interested in partaking in.

When contacting them about their false advertising via telephone, the Managing agent "Sandra" hung up on me multiple times. When I called her back and said, you hung up on me. She said "Yeah, because I'm not giving you the resort credit, and my manager said to cancel your reservation."

I am very upset, I am not sure how business operates in Mexico. But as a business owner here in the United States, I can honestly say I'd never operate my business on false pretenses and especially would never hang up with my customer instead of handling their problems.

The wording of their "resort credit" is definitely not a resort credit, but rather a coupon book that includes resort savings.

My family is planning or I should say, WAS planning a wedding at this resort, and had booked (3) rooms for our party. I can honestly say we have all lost trust in the Royal Solaris resort, and want to make sure that others do not get deceived by this same shady promotion.
