Consumer Direct Warranty Services Reviews

  • Jul 24, 2015

On August 2007 I was contacted by phone to get an extended warranty on my car. I agreed to pay a total of $2,150. I paid monthly installments of 133 for 12 months. The warranty I received stated that if the service was never used I would get a rebate of 1500 after the five years. I have tried to contact the company but the number is disconnected and the other number on file is a mortuary.

I purchase an Extended Auto warranty after seeing the MOGI commercial a few years ago (2009). My warranty card states that MOGI is the seller and Consumer Direct Warranty Services (CDWS) is listed on my card. I have never filed a claim and according to the terms of my contract which I still have in my possesion at 177000 miles or 7 years if I don't use the policy I am eligible for a full refund. Well I came across troubling information concerning CDWS and decided to contact then and low and behold all the contact number on my card and my contract have all been disconnected or no longer in service so I have no way of getting in contact with them. I contacted the company that collected my monthly payments and they stated they do not deal directly with the company they just collect the money. BBB states the company is out of business. i am not aware of any class action law suits directly against MOGI or CDWS but there has been one against Extended auto warranty insurance and I am not sure if CDWS is a aprt of it.
