Contingent Network Services Reviews

I was working as a contract engineer with their minuteman program the company failed to for services rendered after numerous emails and no responses I made a demand for Payment in which I got the following email.

This company has a bad reputation for not paying or communicating with Technicians and are rude when they finaly answer an email.

Actually that is not what is going to happen. First, using equipment as leverage for payment will get you restricted from future work. Second, The payment was sent Friday according to terms. Third, because a $600 modem is under the threat of being kept as leverage, I will be putting a temporary stop payment on check #93841 for $324 until I am sure the property you speak of is returned. Mr. Jackson, you might want to rethink your strategy, obviously it is highly inappropriate. Let me know what you come up with. Thank you.

Completed 5 work orders for these losers. One of which paid $144 for two guys for 7 hours. Should have seen it coming and didn't read here first.

Contingent refuses to pay us $400 for the 5 work orders because we will not give them the owner's social security number. We performed the work under our company name, our company liablity insurance, and have provided them with a legal Federal Tax ID number for the business.

Their response is basically that we are "hiding" something because we won't divulge this information.

Now that I see how they handle their business, I'm glad we didn't provide that information. Probably would have seen some new credit cards and bank accounts opened up on the credit report.

Mr. Scott Campbell, whose email tag says he's an "accountant", must not be a very good accountant if he doesn't understand why the owner of an LLC would not use their personal social security number on behalf of the business. For your knowledge Mr. Campbell, LLC stands for "Limited Liability Company". That means that if I operate completely as the company, and don't mingle my funds and taxes with the LLC, I am shielded from personal liability.

We have confirmed this with our attorney AND accountant. Don't know what planet he's operating on.

Bottom line, avoid this company like the plague. We will be contacting the companies that we did work for on Contingent's behalf and requesting payment, with an explanation about why we are doing so.
