Cooks Collision Reviews

My lady took her sons car there for repairs, it is covered under insurance, I think they over charged her insurance. I saw the damge to the car and based on what I saw compared to what they charged is suspicious.

In short, Parts were: $825.11

Labor: $2,020.20

Misc. Charges: $308.00

Invoice Total: $3,137.78

I think this is way high and they did some over charging here.

When attempting to pick up my vehicle from Cooks Collision I was unable to leave the parking lot due to flashing yellow lights alerting me that my ABS wan non functional and traction control non functional. This was not a problem prior to taking it to Cooks Collision and it was explicitly stated by Danny Lopez that those lights "were not there before". He said that I should take it to FH Daily and I refused and said that I wanted them to take it to be fixed before I would leave. My vehicle was fine mechanically ever since I have bought it and never have I had a signal on it. After renting another vehicle and going to work late I was called by Danny Lopez while at work. He left a voice message stating "he authorized the repairs" that would be billable to my insurance company and that " and that he himself could tell that the brakes were damaged from the impact of striking the concrete pole". Danny is a salesperson for a body shop and not a mechanic. He had also authorized these repairs without my verbal consent. I went down to Chevrolet myself and obtained document explicitly stated that the brake lines were damaged due to welding performed on the vehicle and not minor damage on a vehicles bumper. He further stated that removing the bed of the truck without care, the brakes would easily damage by clipping or pinching the brake line. At which point Danny Classified the brake costs to "miscelaneous paint costs" and doubled the amount of the repair price. After combing through the final invoice there were $1,354.68 additional repairs made to my vehicle without my consent. The final price tag on a minor dent on the bumper and warping of the rear left fender totalled $5,149. This does not include the cost of a rental car for two weeks and the total raises to over $6,000.
