Do not take your car to Cottman Transmission in Greensboro NC. you will be sorry. I spent over 2000.00 dollars there and my transmission is worse than it ever was. I have taken my car back several times and the idiots can't seem to find the problem. l would have been better off to get a salvage yard transmission and had my regular mechanic install it. I am so discouraged and have no idea of how to solve this matter. l have given up on going back to them as it would seem to be a complete waste of my valueable time. There are many complaints against this company, these people are totally incompetent and have no idea what they are doing.

I thought I was going to have my transmission looked at by cottman transmission located a 1340 13th street Philadelphia PA 19147 on 1/12/15 . I tols the owner that my daughter and I would like for him to look at the vehicle for a possible transmission speed sensor; since doing our reserach this gave the best possible solution to what we were experiencing.

On 1/16/15 I called the owner and asked him how was he making out with the vehicle and he said we got the trans down and wht it looks like is you have 3 parts to your trans and um as far as what I can see the rear looks ok but the other two parts you are going to need . I asked him well how much is this going be and he wel right now it's $500.00 .

I said in shock well how much is it going cost to take care of this he said we have this and that package so I chose the premium package which is 12,000 miles or 1 year warranty. i asked him when could he get started he said well we gonna need $500.00 deposit to get started when can you bring in the deposit? I said on 1/19/15 and said ok well see you then.

He also said if you pay cash we can save you the taxes otherwise we will have to charge you the taxes. I opted to pay the deposit with my credit card and paid the balnce with $2,000.00 cash for a total of $2,500.00 for the premium package. On 1/19/2015 I asked would I be ready by end of the week I said yes. However they didn't have car ready for me until 2/3/15

I was called at 3:00 P.M to come pick it up as if he couldn't wait until the next day for me to pick it up. I wanted my daughter to have that car so bad that I made it my busssiness to get there inspite of the time. Now when we get there the guel light is on and says E luckly the gas station was aroung the corner. After fueling up my daughter Amanda drives the

vehecle about 8 miles which was the distance from Broad and Reed to Erie ave in Philadelphia Pennsyvania. My daughter calls me and says that the anti lock light was on and the low tire pressure light was on and AWD along with the check engine light was on. I called the owner and explained to him this matter and asked him how was this possible if he test drove it.

He said to my disliking these things happen you see when these cars have those miles on them um it just something tht happens . I mean he was talking like that. Then says bring it back in the morning. I said ok. So I go to Broad and Erie to assist my daughter and tell her to take my car and I'll drive this one (2003 Buick Rendezvous) I began to drive it and hear what sounds like grinding noise and like pots and pns being banged around under the vehicle. I record this sound so I can let the owner hear it. The is so bad that I say I am not going to drive it to the shop tommoow and that I will need to call AAA. I just don't want him to say I shouln't have driven it. I just don't know what the owner is going to say out of his mouth next, and I am not chanceing any arguments with him since he had my money. I get the vehicle towed and he says ok we going check out for you and uh give you a call. While I was walking one of the mechanics picked me up and we drove aroung a few blocks or so say about 15 minute drive . You usual stop and go turn here there.

The noise wasn't nearly as bad as it was the night before. I attribute it to the veicle not being warmed up since it was towed there it was still cold. So I left vehicle with them on 2/4/15 and he called my daughter on 2/5/14 and spoke with me and said that the noise was the left and right hub bearings, and said to him isn't that part of the work that was dine

by you guys he no that was different. I asked him how much was that going to be he said $400.00 and something but said since I was a good customer that he could do it for me for no lower than $395.00 I said go ahead and do the work. He said Vic we gonna get on it and have you out on the road by end of the week. So on 2/11/15 the owner calls me

and says Vic you can pick up your vehicle now, and I was like I'm not going to be able to pick it up today and he said well that's ok you pick up tommorow. and while we were talking he said we got all the lights out but Vic that Anti Lick Brake light is still on and he Vic I'm not going to B.S. you he said when car get these miles on them lot s of things happen with then says if I were you I wouldn't spend alot of time chasing aroung these lights he said becasue you could be chasing for years. YES! HE SAID THIS TO ME . He says you have brakes he my echanic and I we put on on the machine he we could'nt detect any problem with anything else. We you come in tomorrow I want to take you and your daughter on a test run so you can see that you have brakes . However when we get there he's no where to be found and I have to go one block to get my vehicle, and upon getting it not only is the anti lock brake light on, but all the lights on the dash board on on. I suppose this is why he wasn't around for the test drive .

On 2/23/15 I called the owner and was asking him about his name so I could get a letter off to him and he declined to give me that information, because he wanted to say to me bring the vehicle in so we look it and this and that. But I declined and sent the owner a letter to the reason why I declined to bring my vehicle back to his shop ever.

That letter can be produced upon inquiry. I hope this will get me some much needed attention.

Please don't use Cottman Transmission for your Transmission repair service.

I think they work in conjuction i think with oil change companies to ruin your car, so you have to use them.

You tell me.

Here is my story. I pull in for routine oil change at Valvoline, Indep, Mo, nothing wrong with my Transmission at all. The very next day, after a unusually long time with my care, all of sudden my Transmission is shot.

Miraculously, the guy at Valvoline has a coupon for Cottman on him. I should have know then they in it togeter. Well, long story short, let them fix my Transmission, and i use that loosely, and it has never been the same. I took it back to them, and they say, hey nothing wrong with it. Does this sound familiar? Then then after a few more months, the transmission starts to fall apart. These guys will never honor their Warranty, and the Corp office is no help. I spend 2 weeks trying to get these dishonest guys to honor warranty to no avail.

I wanrned them not to jerk me around, and they did not take me seriously. I will be filing a lawsuit against them, and will be contacting every major news outlet to make everyone aware not to use, or trust this company.

They are liars, and do dirty business, and i am ready to shut them, and their dirty tactics down. I may take a while, but i am up to to the challenge. They will never forget this moment in time.

I know i am not the only victim, but i may be the maddest. So, stand by and watch the show.
