Country on the river is one of THE MOST dangerous outing events in Prairie du Chien Wisconsin and even Bridgeport WI. Every year it seems as though someone gets nearly beaten to a pulp, in a huge brawl, or twist an ankle on some clumbsily placed rocks. Rock on the river thankfully has been laid to rest for who knows what trecherous reasoning! But Thankfully they're done as rockontheriver was just a bad time waiting to happen.
Stay far away from country on the river, last year a man was paralyzed from a fight that occured on COTR grounds. COTR I believe is operated by Scotty Sheckler and a relative of his, possibly sister Brittny Sheckler. We have ran into Brittny once, but she was an arrogant, ill willed mouthy b*. She gave us poor excuses of directions and an attitude to boot. She showed no respect for our $85 tickets we bought at COTR. I cannot believe Scotty Sheckler allowed such abusive family to run a show like this and show no respect for anyone in the audience. I suggest stay far away from CountryOnTheRiver and other such places. It's dangerous, beyond expensive and run by arrogant a*holes. Steer clear of this event and save your money for CountryFest where they have bigger name acts and show appreciation for their consumers. I highly suggest you think about saving your money and your safety and keep away from COTR!!!
