Credit Acceptance Corp Reviews

  • May 7, 2014

I purchased a car in February 2013. I was told by the dealer (car approval corp) that it was a special financing. The first year of payment $400 and the second year would go down to $300 when the car was refinanced. They assured me that this will happen beacuse they did this all the time and the bank (credit acceptance corp) knew this is how they work. When February 2014 came, i satrted contacting the dealer and going to the dealership. I must have called them like 1000 times and they are always saying they are busy with other customers and cannot help me. Finally, i get a hold of them, I told them that I wanted the payoff amount so i can just pay it in full and get this over with. They gave me a payoff amount of $1,700 (dealership). I also got a payoff amount from the bank ($8,000)!! beacuse i was trying to refinance my car loan through a different bank (which they approved but this is not the real amount I owed). I have the dealer a check of $1700, after weeks of waiting and calling , last wek the dealer told me the refinance was not approved(they only showed me the computer screen saying i was not approved, they never gave me any paperwork from the bank saying this. Now is April 2014 and I'm still paying the same amount of $400. The dealership has put zero effort in trying to help me.

I don't know how I am supposedly not approved to refinance when I am paying the full amount that is due according to the dealer. How is this possible?

I have 709 credit and can get a $10,000 loan right now if i wanted to, so im not sure what is going in on.

Both of this companies are a total nighmare, bad customer service. Unwillingness to help solve the issue. i am so frustrated, i am going to end up paying way more than the price that was given to me at the purchase time.

Anybody with the same situation? Please help!

Thank you!

I was need need of a new vehicle, I purchased one from Joseph sage, The finance company was credit acceptance, I purchased a 2004 grand am, when I went I seen another vehicle that I wanted but the sales rep told me that I would need a 1300 $ down payment. than he went up on the price so he showed me another car. thats when i got the grand am. When it was all said and done with the warrenty that they made me get the car would have cost 13,000 and some change. I recetly decided to trade the car in, when the dealership did the appresal the car had me at -3000 equity. their for it was not worth a trade in. I purchased a new 2014 and did a voulunterry repo with credit acceptance, prior to this I made a double payment so when they came to get the car I was current on my payments, but during this time I had called credit acceptance on many occasions to find out about my warrenty information and each time I called I was told that I was behind on my payments. This was not the case... They have called me 5 times a day asking me if I want the car back or if I know anyone who wants to take over the payments... I have told them NO. I was told that the car was going to the acution on April 24.. Today they tell me that I have an aggreement to get the car by may 5! I do not want the car back!! I have asked them to stop calling me and they wont. If I wanted the car I would have not had them come get the car. They are the worst when it comes to coustomer service. And since when cant you make a double payment? and even though I made a double payment they said that I still had to make my monthly payment. THey never told me that when I called to make the double payment nonone their seems to know anything..

Credit Acceptance... What an utter and complete mess of a company!

I have no doubt, they seem to be in ""cahoots"" with many car dealerships. I purchased a vehicle from a major car lot and got a complete piece of junk. My vehicle spent almost all of its time in the garage of the dealership supposedly getting fixed... In the meantime called the Credit Accep people to explain the situation. It was making it very hard for me to make my payment and continue to pay 850.00 to 1,100 each time my car ended up right back at the dealership because something else had gone wrong.

The could have cared less! They had no interest in helping me or trying to work out anything of the kind. They were very rude and difficult to work with. Their solution... Come tow my vehicle while I was at work! I wasn't able to retrieve any of my belongings and could never find out exactly where they took my car.

Now my wages are being garnished, and the total of the garnishment is 23,814.41!!!! Are you kidding me????Between Medved Autoplex and the horrible Credit Acceptance Corp... I have no desire to ever, try and purchase another vehicle. What a complete nightmare...

What a shame that they seem to get away with whatever they want... I only hope that one day, that company, along with all the dealerships that are involved with them, go down! Karma is nothing but nice... and how dare they get rich off of all the customers they have ripped off!

Shame on you Credit Acceptance Corp!!!!
