I have worked for this company for two months , it is horrible . You get a half hour break and they make you clean and put things away during it so you really dont get a break at all . you show up an hour early and always leave an hour late and it totals to 8 hours everytime and you only get paid for six. I have never gotten paid and they will tell you to call hr and they tell you to email and then just say call your bank when in actuallity they just blame you and your bank and never pay so you get nothing , I think some of the ppl who started years ago get paid but that must be different somehow. So on top of getting ripped off two hours you risk going there by never getting anything. And they try to loop you in w weekly pay , its only weekly if you get direct deposit which they will f*** up somehow and blame you , paper checks take 2 weeeks a piece. If you come in 2 minutes late to the unpaid time you will also be asked to stay a half an hour extra to clean for free so your not really getting $11 more like $8 . There are also so many rules youll be lucky to not get fired your first week as if it matter bc you wont get a proper paycheck anyways .

Crossmark interviewed me (over the phone) for a part-time brand rep/sales job project which would last 5 months. They told me that at the end of the project we would receive a bonus of $500 if we completed all the work on time and correctly each week of the project. When I was then offered the job (at a later -over the phone- conversation), the hiring manager repeated the same terms of employment, with the $500 dollar bonus at the end of the project. I was told I would be working 5 shifts, 4 hours each, totaling 20 hours a week and that 20 hrs was what we would be paid for each week.

I was not told that there was mandatory work to be preformed from home after each shift that was not paid. This totaled an extra 2 1/2 - 3hrs a week. We also were to be in constant communication -via emails- with our market manager. This totaled another hour or so per week, with mandatory responses, for which we were not paid. We only used email and phone to communicate with the company.

The program was cut short suddenly and all 140 of us (nationwide) were let go with only 2 days notice. They delivered the news via a conference call where we were not allowed to speak. Just said the program was ending in 2 days, thanks for all your hard work. That was it. No explanation. I know the program was successful as a store manager told me the previous week that their sales of the product was up 96%! 2 days notice! Real professional.

When my manager sent me my bonus info, it said $150. What? She said we were only getting $10 dollars a week as a bonus (from which they ripped me off with that amount, I was there 16 weeks) When I told them I was told it would be $500, and with only 7 weeks left to the original end date, their numbers didn't add up. They denied ever saying $500 and said I was never told that. They asked if I had it in writing? -which I didn't, it was verbal- and said if I didn't have it in writing then too bad, because they were only paying $10 dollars a week.

They lied. Several times I was told $500. I completed all the work and on time. This is bad business practice but I guess they figure they can say whatever they want to get you to work for them, I turned down another job for this job, because of the bonus! Then they left me in a horrible situation with no job and bills to pay and not the bonus or the correct percentage of the bonus I was supposed to get. Plus they had me work a mandatory 48 extra hours that I was not paid for. This is criminal.

Do not work for this company. They don't care what they say or what they do to their employees, as long as they are making their money. They left me stranded and ripped me off!

They are thieves and liars. Bad business practice. Save yourself some grief and don't do business or work for them.

Crossmark no longer pays for your time you spend on the computer after each shift. They require you report your time and fill out a survey of the product you demoed, and they used to pay us 15 mins to get this done, now you no longer get paid for this time. And sometimes this take more than an hour due to the companies slow website.

They also require you to use broken or damaged unsafe equipment to demo with, ground prongs missing, etc.

Crossmark is a company that seems to care more about their bank account than the safety of their employees.

They are not required to be inspected by the health dept either, so EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK. I have seen the soap and sanitizer not working, meaning the dishes were being washed in plain water. They have no problem breaking the rules but at the same time expect you to walk a thin white line.

Crossmark couldn't care less about you as an employee. Moral is the worst, the people you work with are contantly compaining about the treatment by the company, this creates a bad work environment. In the past we have had a boss that smoked marijuana, and several employees that threatened others with deadly force, yet no one was fired. These demo teams woth in Sams and Walmart and go largely unsupervised by the company, there is one person in charge of 20 or so employees, and often theses supervisors are the biggest rule breakers. And don't even think about calling employee relations about any issues, they act like you are wasting thier time.

For example out former supervisor came to work high and sent an employyee to buy pot on her lunch break. We tried to report this to the company several times and by several employees, nothing was done, not even a drug screen. THEY DON""T CARE! As long as the demoes get done and repoted on time, thats their only concern.
