After soliciting me as a "Friend" on Facebook someone requested that I chat but not on Facebook, instead by using Yahoo messenger. At first the conversations were chatty. I agreed to exchange phone numbers so that we could text at times when neither of us was online. In less than a week I was asked for financial help, supposedly for a child in need of assistance with schooling. There was a degree of urgency for the monies required. Arrangements were made to send the needed monies to an address where the involved student could get it. Using Western Union, the monies were sent. Secondly I was approached about assisting in getting some personal possessions (two suitcases) from outside the U.S.A.

Having been concerned at what was now appearing to be a "scam" and the fact that monies were not available I proceeded with great caution. The person got more desperate as a few days went by. When I informed the person that I could not get the needed monies.. on several occasions I was threatened that he/she would do harm to him/herself. When advised additional times of my inability to secure the monies... all communications ceased.

Through out this, I received an email ,supposedly from the foreign diplomat who could secure the suitcases, which also provided instructions along with an ID of the diplomat.

As I researched I discovered that the phone in use was with Bandwith.comVoIP of Kyle, Texas.

As I became more and more suspicious, and after research which revealed this to be very typical of a scam, I decided to make an effort to do something about it.

I am requesting help to stop this activity. I may not be the only person getting involved with this person or others like them.
