I have been going to estate sales, garage sales and auctions for years. This morning I went to an estate sale in Dallas, advertised on estatesales.org and managed by Deal's Estate Sales. I was so traumatized by the agressive, hostile, rude behavior of Mr. Deal and his henchmen, I left the items I was attempting to buy with the cashier and walked out. I collect books and had gone there to look just at them. While perusing the shelves of books, 2 people came into the room and said that all the books had just been sold. I was holding a couple of books, and one of the guys told me I had to put them back. I was shocked, but I did it. I went to the cashier to ask about the books I had left with her previously. When I asked for confirmation that someone had just bought all the books, Mr. Deal got very loud and aggressive, saying it was normal behavior and accused me of trying to dictate how he should run his buisness. As this was the last thing on my mind. I left the stack of books I had picked out and walked out as fast as I could. I felt like I was leaving a den of thieves. It was a relief to drive away from there, but I would like to warn others. Especially those who may be looking for estate sale services.
