Simply put, this company is a "bad guy." The movers were very helpful and my actual charges were only a few hundred dollars more than the estimate... until the day our possessions were supposed to arrive. I received a call from the dispatcher, David Kohaim of Call Me Van Lines (when did I sign up with Call Me Van Lines for anything!?!? My contract was with Diamond!) that informed me there would be a $350 additional charge because they supposedly had to unload one of the extra large trucks and put our stuff on a smaller truck in order to deliver it. After several heated phone conversations, I had no choice but to simply pay the additional $350. He made it clear that they would hold my stuff hostage until I paid.
Once the truck finally arrived, they attempted to deliver several boxes and a recliner that was not our stuff... so whose stuff was this?!?!? The truck was nearly empty as we were the last delivery of the day... they actually offered for us to just take the stuff even though we said it wasn't ours!!! They even ripped open the boxes to for us to make sure that they weren't ours... did this happen with our boxes as well? I'd be willing to bet that all of our boxes were opened and re-sealed at some point in the 4 weeks delivery process. We are now missing several boxes and a very expensive piece of furniture that they couldn't account for... I bet one of the drivers is enjoying our Apple TV right about now after ripping open our box and taking a peak inside.
It's now been 3 weeks since our move and I cannot get anyone to call me back. Many of the contact numbers I had have been disconnected. Do not ever consider using Diamond Van Line or Call Me Van Lines for anything, ever. Shame on all of the individuals that are part of such a repulsive company and allow it to operate this way.
Diamond van line is horrible ! gave me one price then when my belongings were on the truck it doubled !
finally after weeks most of my home was delivered. with the exception of my new big screen tv, my valuble paintings, picture, household items, bakeware, and many other precious family items.
i called and called and they said they have the items and if i paid the balance i would recieve my things.
never happened. they stole my stuff peroid. they have it and will not deliver it ? thats theft !!!!
do not use this company ! the agravation is totally not worth it ! can't believe they can live with themselves.
liars, theves, con artist, crooks, and god will have a place for them but it will be very hot !!!
