I wanted to buy a camera for me and my husband so I call a company called Digital Outlets LLC.

I have a friend that bought from them and he was real happy and I been looking on their site for over 2 years and thought well they must be legit.

I call on Nov 4th, 2014 and I ordered a Nikon D610 and a Nikon D810 with assesories as well so I wired transferred 5,685.00 to them that day.

Nov. 7rh I get a box from Fed Ex and I open the box to only see the Nikon D610 in the box, 2 memory cards, 2 Batteries, one charger.

I call Fed Ex and ask if they had another box on another truck and they said no so I filled a report with them and on Monday I called them and I am a very mellow composed lady and I was a lady.

They admitted that they didn't send my camera and said it was on it's way again and I knew that wasn't true.

I called them every other day and Andrew gave me the tracking number that was on this box I got and said that they used that number and I said not true as Fed Ex don't allow that.

I realized last week they are not going to do nothing and think they are getting by with this so I am doing what I can to help others not be taken.

My husband called them the other day and the man said that they have my case in their legal department now because I threatened them.

After the Sheriff called them Glenn so he calls himself called me and was saying I got both camera's and I said to him "You are not that smart are you"?

He was rattled when I said that and hung up on me.

He sent me a email saying that I got both camera's and I am laughing as I read his words.

There are some things crooks don't think about that hang them in the end.

I answered back and told him that I have the box they sent intact and with the weight on the box. 2 Nikon Camera's are heavy and my friend stated that the box was to light for 2 camera's and that is when I opened the box.

I found out that the Nikon wasn't a real Nikon is International but since it is a D610 my hubby and I decided to keep that one and I told Scott to send my money back.

This was the day before Thanksgiving and he said he thought that would be the best solution and said by Tues to the most I will have my money back and I knew he was lying.

I waited 1 week then started action and after the Sheriff called them they won't even talk to me.

I ordered a Canon lens but received a Sigma lens. I returned the Sigma for a refund, but still do not have it.

The order was on 11/6/14. I sent it back on 11/12/14. The Post Office tracking service says it was received by Digital Outlets on 11/14/14. I heard nothing from them for a month. Then I started to call. At first it was that they didn't get it back yet. Disproved that. Then it was that they did sent acknowledgement of that (they did not) but they would send another. Received the acknowledgement on 12/30/14.

Still no refund. Another call to them. Refund would be sent and I would receive it by 1/8/15. On 1/8/15, there was no refund. Called again. "Scott" says that it was sent on 12/28/14. Curious problem with the date sequence, there! He gives me a confirmation number. I call the credit card company which says that there isn't, nor ever was a refund from Digital Outlets.

I have now put it into the hands of the credit card charge dispute division.

Called to let Scott know what the CC company said and he hung up on me.

This as a company to keep away from.

Avoid digitaloutlets.net --- I ordered a Canon digital camera at what seemed to be a very good price, but digitaloutlets.net never shipped me the camera, though I prepaid for it with my credit card. Instead, digitaloutlets.net sent me e-mails telling me I had to confirm the order by calling them. Very strange, I thought, as, in my experience no other online merchant has done this. So I sent digitaloutlets.net asking if this was some sort of a scam, but I said I would try again to call. I got through the second time, but the salesman cancelled my order when I complained about having to call them to give them the CVC number on the back of my card. So I never got the upsell other customers complained about, just a rude order cancellation after spending 1/2 hour of my time trying to buy a camera online.

Similar to the experience of others, I ordered a Nikon camera flash because an online search engine showed a much lower price than anyone else was asking (by almost $70). I ordered it on 12/11 with delivery "guaranteed" by 12/24. Well, 12/24 came and went with no Nikon flash. Thankfully, there was also no charge yet on my credit card. Then today, 12/28, I get an email from them saying I needed to call them and verify my order: "However in order to verify your identity we do need to verbally confirm this order with you before it can be shipped for security purposes." So I called the number they gave and he repeated my order except he said it was for a 35mm camera (whereas I have a DSLR). So I said no, I don't want one for a film camera, I want one for a digital camera (knowing that he was telling a lie but wanting to see what happened). Then he out and out continued his lie and said that Nikon makes 2 flashes with the same model # (SB-910), one for film cameras and one for digital cameras (the official Nikon website begs to disagree with him however). He said the digital one was $120 more than the one I ordered (which made it $50 more than I could get it for elsewhere) and did I want to get that one instead. Sensing this was going to end badly, I canceled my order. As expected, the guy was fine with that as I am quite certain they had no intention of selling me one at the price they advertised. So do NOT do business with this company as they are, putting it mildly, completely and totally dishonest. I am also going to be checking my credit card every day to be sure I don't get fraudulent charges.

I ordered about $16,400 of camcorder gear from DigitalOutlets.net in July 2014 and was sent crap gear missing one Cannon XF-300 camcorder. Scott, the camcorder expert sent two tripods to go with the two XF-300's i purchased for my company that might handle a gopro but certainly not an XF-300 which weighs somewhere over 8 lbs w gear (crap tripods for children). Scott sent bags too small for the cameras, childrens camera lighting for my XF-300, but funnist of all was all the 72mm lenses for the XF-300's which are 82mm. I guess that's what the 2 converters were for, so i could see the filters at the corners when i am filming. After story and story of nonsense from Scott and others, it's November and i am out one $5000 camera that's paid for in FULL and no information regarding the 40 lb return they signed for from the UPS store - DON"T DO BUSINESS with these people! I am an Executive Producer in a new company, what do i know about camera gear - Well, i will tell you what i learned, don't use Digitaloutlets.net!

I really hope I can help others out here. digitaloutlets.net uses dishonest price-baiting to attract buyers using a Google search for camera products. They advertise a product at a price that they cannot sell. (or a product that doesn't exist)

Here is how their scam works:

They list a product well below market value to get your attention via google search or other internet advertising. You then go to their site and order the product at that ridiculously low price. They then send you an email saying that a rep will call you back to verify the order. If that was really why they called, then great, but it is not. They call you back to tell you that you have ordered the wrong product and that you need to order the correct product which is actually 10%-20% higher than the lowest competitor. In my case, like many others it was a camera lens. I ordered a lens that was about $50 less than the other lowest competitor. Digitaloutlets told me I ordered the wrong lens since it was for film. The problem is that the manufacturer did not make this lens for film ever. What lens manufacturer makes a lens strictly for film in 2014? Come on guys... So in reality, you did order the correct product, it's just that they will not sell it to you for that price. I've read other reviews that were positive about digitaloutlets.net where the customer claimed that they were "appreciative" of digitaloutlets.net's customer service going the extra mile. Sad, since they have just been baited and switched. They bank on the idea that since you have already placed the order, you will most likely just agree to pay the higher price since your shopping around is done. The bottom line is that if you do not comply with ordering the more expensive product, your order will never be fulfilled and you will be sitting there wondering with an uneasy feeling "who did I just give my credit card info to?" Please stay away from digitaloutlets.net. I hope this report can help someone out.

Very Low Prices = Scam

I was shocked at the low prices and thought that I better do a search on Digital Outlets and low and behold, people are having issues with this company. Buyer beware!

Digital outlets took my order and confirmed the shipment. Something didn't seem right so i called them back and asked for their address(because it was not on their web site) - They told me it was in califronia, and their number had a california area code, however, the address DOESN"T EXIST . IT IS COMPLELTELY FRAUDULENT

THEY TOOK MY CREDIT CARD INFORMAITON AND FRAUDULENTLY SOLD IT OR GAVE IT TO OTHER PEOPLE BECAUSE THERE WAS FRAUDULENT TRANSACTIONS ON MY CARD.

I REQUESTED TO SPEAK TO THE OWNER AND HE TOLD ME TO "GO F*** MYSELF". BEWARE OF THIS FAKE COMPANY. THEY HAVE NO ADDRESS, NO SUPPORT AND ARE ALLEGEDLY WOKRING OUT OF A CHOP SHOP IN NEW YORK.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM, EVER, THIS PLACE IS A SCAM.

I placed an order for a nikon AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.4G Autofocus Lens with the lower price of $299.00 and an additional 5% OFF => $284.05. They tooked the order, but not processing it for 2 weeks, then when I called, they said it was out of stock and did a cancellation on my order without anything. The customer service was rude and doesn't explain anything much. Since I placed order with them, I felt as if I got scam all the way. PLEASE DO NOT EVER PLACE ANY ORDER WITH THIS SITE - YOU MAY GET SCAM ON YOUR CREDIT CARD.

I tried to order a Nikon d810 from Digital outlets, the next day I received a phone call from their customer service verifying my credit card information. I was notified the camera I ordered only came with the Japanese language on it, I told them that was not what I wanted I don't speak Japanese. The salesman tried to force me into buying a lesser camera that he recommended, But that was not the camera I wanted. I was then told there was a 10% fee on an order that wasn't even 16 hours old yet. I told the salesman that I felt I was being railroaded and having my arm bent to buy a camera I didn't want or lose 10% of 1699.00 dollars over a misunderstanding ( The web page never said the camera was in Japanese only, nice surprise). I felt totally setup and said I did not want to do business with them now. The salesman repeatedly called me a "jerk", and said I deserved to pay the 10% restock fee and he felt fine enforcing it. I finally hung up the phone since he got on a rant telling me how big a "Jerk" I was for not appreciating his strong arm tactics. Buyers beware these people are cruel and once you order you will pay even if all you got from them is slurs and someone taking your money and not providing any service.

Horrible!!!!! ordered last monday with a 3 day shipping. Was guaranteed to have the camera by this monday more than three days). When i inquired about where my camera was and the lens i was told that the lens was recalled and my account was refunded but that the camera would be here by monday guaranteed! called and emailed looking for a tracking number because we needed for a shoot. No answer or call back with the exception of the email about the lens being recalled which is complete lie). Waited all day monday for the camera to bed delivered and again sent an email inquiring where camera was. I was told that it was attempted to deliver another lie) and that i was not there to get it so it was sent to pensacola i am in tampa bay). When i asked for the tracking number i was told that the information was not available. The same person that sold me the camera claimed to be the shipping department. When i pressed for a shipping confirmation i was told that the camera would just be refunded if i was going to be aggressive. Really? Had to call american express and have my card changed because this guy is completely a scammer and liar. Will be reporting to the bbb and also being investigated by american express. Do not use this terrible company
