Directv is one of the worst cable companies that I have come across in a while. I received a bill for $183.47 for the month of July 2015. When I contacted them about the bill I spoke with a CSR named Sara who told me that she could not do anything about it and transferred me to another CSR named Brook. Brook went back and forth about the services that I was receiving and in the end she couldn't help lower my monthly charges. I explained that I called in on June 14, 2015 and I was given several channel discounts and my monthly charges would be less in July 2015. I still got no response. I ask to speak with a supervisor and she put me on hold for over fifteen minutes. During this fifteen minutes I could hear other people in the background laughing and talking but no supervisor came on line. I had to hang up and call back and ask to speak to a supervisor. The CSR who answered would not give me his name and I had to ask him over three times before he finally said my name is Steven. He couldn't help me with my problem. He connected me with Will, the Supervisor who simply refused to make any adjustments on my account, instead he threatened me with monetary charges if I cancelled my account. Directv simply forces you to take what they want you to have then take your money thru easy pay. Directv force me take the NFL package at the cost of $41.99 for the month of July 2015, even though I clearly told them on June 14, 2015 that I did not want the package. I don't even like football nor do I watch it. Directv is a rip-off and should not be aloud to exist.

The inage of the recent statements will tell the story. In short, when I signed up for DTV, I was on the promo rate for the first year, then was told I would go up to the current rate during the second year. So, to me, that's 1 price increases. Now, with that said, I realize that the contract doea say thatwe are sunject to unforseen price increases due to programming increases. History has shown that these increases are just a few dollars per year per customer.

I am not here to debate the contract. As I said in the beginning, the list of price inceases just in the second year alone is shown on this report.

When calling DTV month after month, I am given completely different answers. Some say this is due to promo's ending, what promos? I had 1 promo...a discounted the first year! Others said it was due to ptogramming increases. Every month? The last bill a sports package was added without my knowledge. I was told that was because since a promo had just emded that aotomatically becomes part of my package. Rediculous.

No matter how you look at it, this is clearly deceptave billing practice!

I have been dealing with deception and lies from direct tv since signing up in December of 2014. The price for programs and installation was no where close to what they promise. After complaining to them for over a month I finally got to talk to a manager ( I did not know it at the time that I would be about to desend into a dark pit) After hours of communicating with Him over a three day period he admitted that mistakes was made on there part but there was nothing he could do for me!!

How many years will I be stuck in hell with this company ?? I do not want to imagine.

I tried to have a Direct TV system installed at my business, but trees blocked the dish from proper sight alignment. I gave Direct TV my credit card information prior to installation, but the service was never activated. So no account was ever established.

Six months after the unsuccessful intallation, Direct TV debited my bank accout for $300 for early termination of service that I never had. The customer service for this company does not care about it's customers! They gave me a massive run around over a phone call which lasted over 45 min.

They are going to look into it, submit a report, which has to go through channels of protocal, then they might put the money back into my account in about 14 days or more.

They had no legal right to take the money. They admitted it was a mistake, but cannot refund the money until their system can get around to making it happen.

I am just one of millions of Direct TV customers, so they don't care how I feel, or how much $300 will cripple my bank account while they get around to refunding the money.

This company braggs about their customer service, but that is all PR propaganda. They only care about how much money they have in their bank account, and have little to no concern about my financial status.
