I filled out a survey online and was told that I would receive compensation for filling out the survey. Once finshed I was given the option of serveral items and I picked the sunglasses from this company. It was indicated that I only had to pay shpping and processing fees, which I did and there was no mention of having to pay for the glasses if I did not return them in 14 days. My debit card was automatically charged for $ 95.00. I find that this kind of deception a total ripoff and think that the companies that participate in the deception are as much to blame as the company providing the merchandise. Make no mistake that this will not happen to me again, lesson well learned and hopefully someonw will eventually put a stop to this kind of consumer ripoff. PS the sunglasses are not that great!!

Duvati Wear promised free glasses after completing a survey. I gladly completed it and used my card to pay for the shipping like they had advertised. I did not see any checkbox to authorize them to charge my card again for a second pair if I didn't cancel within 30 days. So I called them to cancel and to get a refund...they said that once they have shipped it is impossible to cancel. So I requested to speak to a Supervisor... they offered to refund $24.99, i asked for my entire $49.99 because they did not call me to process this amount and after a long discussion they asked me to return the pair with refused on it...........waiting for my full refund from this scam artists!!!

I just copy the report of Altrax76 because I got exactly the same siyuation:

I had completed an online survey and was offered free sunglasses from Duvati Wear. All I had to do was pay for was the $7.99 for insurance and delivery. Later I see my credit card bill charged with $95. I called their customer service number asking what the charge of $95 was for. Customer servive explained this $95 charge was made because I didn't return the sunglasses within 14 days.

So how was the sunglasses "free" if I had to return it within 14-days to avoid this charge. Customer care pointed to the fine print stating if sunglasses are not returned within 14-day return of the sunglasses they will charge you for the sunglasses. After placing the order, I did get an email confirmation. But there was no mention of this was a 14-day trial period.

Now this is very misleading. The online survery I completed stated I was getting a free sunglasses from Duvati Wear. How was I suppose to know I was actually not getting a free sunglasses but a trial use of their sunglasses.

I called their Billing department to try and get a refund back. They wouldn't budge. They pointed to the fine print of the 14-day trial period even though the sunglasses were advertised as "free" after completing an online survey. Beware of any online survey you complete offering free Duvati Sunglasses. They are not free!

Duvati Wear Scam

Thank you for the info. I received my Duvati Wear glasses in the mail yesterday. I ordered them for my wife and thought it was free for filling out the survey and being a good customer for the company website I was on.

My wife looked it up on-line and saw Duvati Wear was a scam company. The glasses are not free, the 14 day trial is free I guess. Needless to say I called my credit card company. They had heard of Duvati and recommended I cancel my credit card, which is what I did. So by I will be getting my new credit card; lesson learned. When something seems too good to be true, it probably is. May the buyer beware!

So thank you people for the info and if you are reading this and have been duped by these unscrupulous people, don't wait, call you credit card company IMMEDIATELY and cancel your credit card!

I selected a stylish men's pair of sunglasses and was prompted to pay $7.95 shipping & handling. My card was debited $7.95 on 7/3/2014. A few days later I recieved the sunglasses. Although, they looked like women's sunglasses I just disregarded as it only cost $7.95.

Entered the office today, 7/16/2014 and check my account only to find that Duvati Wear Toluca Lake, CA had withdrew an additional $95 from my account. It's 6:30AM EST and I immediately dialed 888.356.3181 only to find their office is closed until 6AM PST. I then searched the internet to look up Duvati Wear only to find this scam listed several times on RipOffReport.com.

I will be placing the call to Duvati Wear when they open. I doubt there will be any reinbursements after reading all the complaints. But certainly will notify them to voice my complaint. I understand there was a 14-day fine print to return the product or be charged full value. I too did not see that while completing the survey.

Got a pop-up while reading face book advising that since I was a good customer of Sportsman Guide, I would receive as a gift, a nice pair of sun glasses If I would only pay the charge of $5.99 shipping and handling. I paid by credit card and then received the glasses a few days later. (Fair glasses) The charge was incurred on 5-9-2014 .. Now, on 5-23-2014 , we have been charged $95.00 by the same people !

A popup came up asking to participate in a quick survey and win a free gift after the survey the option of a couple different items came up as the freee gift required shipping and handling. Gave credit info for $7.99 s/h. 14 days later was billed for $95. I noted the 7.99 but did not catch the 95 on the credit card statement. Then a month later another box came with sunglasses. $45 charged to credit card. The packing statement did not indicate any charge. I contacted the company from the packing slip ph number and found I had been enrolled in a club. They would send products of their choice once a month. Who does that...send me some random thing every month. I cancelled it and wanted to return they said they had a no return policy. I wrote it off to live and learn but the longer I think about it the madder I get and wonder how many people the due with this ploy.

DUVATI WEAR SUNGLASSES

SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!

CHEATING PEOPLE BY DECEPTIVE ADS AND BILLING PRACTICES. THEY CLAIMED FREE SUNGLASSES FOR A SHIPPING FEE, AND THEN CHARGED $45.00 TO MY ACCOUNT. THIS IS WRONG AND WAS PLANNED TO CONFUSE AND DECEIVE THE CONSUMER.

I experienced the same as SteveK-Topeka KS describes in his RipoffReport filed in January. I phomed the Company yesterday to cancel my account. The cancellation was accepted by a man named Peter whi promised to email a cancellation n umber within 5 minutes. Up til now, 24 hours later, no such number has been received.
