Education Affiliates Reviews

  • Aug 11, 2014

I worked for this company in their call center for approximately 2 years, and wouldn't recommend anyone either to work for Education Affiliates OR attend one of the institutions that they own.

Concerning their questionable education that they offer, this company preys on people who are considered minorities, foreigners, and honestly, people who are just too “dumb” to explore their options at a community college. Being that they are a for-profit school, their prices for their programs are ridiculously inflated. I received numerous complaints over the years that former students’s credits obtained at EA’s institutions were not accepted at any other schools. They hold shoddy accreditation, and do not even assist their students with job placement. So many of these poor people who do decide one of EA’s institutions are left with crippling student loan debt, and unfortunately wind up defaulting on their various loans. So what’s the payout for these poor people? A crappy education and crippling debt. Not worth it at all.

Now, working for this company was a completely different story. I can’t even begin to explain how bad the sexual discrimination was in the call center. Male employees making 1, 2, 3 dollars an hour more than female employees. People working inbound calls, getting paid to sleep, etc. The company hasn’t given their employees (for the most part) raises in THREE YEARS!

I’ll keep this short, but please, please, PLEASE avoid this scamming company at all costs! They do not care about their students, and only select employees in their boys club!
