Eliot Management Group, LLC Reviews

Eliot Management Group practices high pressure tactics once you have signed on the bottom line. I received phone calls repeatedly during the 3 year contract that I had with them. Always stating that my equipment was not up to date etc.

About a month before my 3 year contract supposedly was to expire I was contacted by two guys, Andy and Shane in the local office as well as a lady from corporate. Andy was rude on the phone, when asking a simple question his reponse to me was "shut up" which didn't set well with me at all. Then Shane was put on the phone trying to set up an appointment to go over a new contract. When asked about rates, he sent me a silly pie chart that didn't say a thing.

After the pie charts and the "shut ups" I spoke with Andy again and said I no longer wanted to do business with them once my contract was over. The next day corporate called and I said the same thing. Neither time did the folks tell me that I had to write a letter canceling my servcie within 30 days prior to the end. I honestly was unaware of this situation.

Now, 15 days after what I thought the contract said was done...it wasn't! The contract that I had only said that they could charge me $495 for early termination. Well, I find out that without the letter that they automatically renew your contract for another year and require $495 fee for credit cards and $100 fee for debits, just to do nothing.

Calling them crooks is being kind.

Eliot Management Group also know as EMG, as an employer has lacks professionalism and any sense of eithics.

Your first day there you do your only day of training. It consist of several hours in the morning listening to either the sales manager or assistant sales manager tell you about the company and how much you can make working there. In the afternoon you take part in a conference call, more about the company and about the importance of setting appointments . This is the only day you actually get paid for hourly, 8 hours at your state's minimum wage. Your second day the shove you on the phones with no real training. At thia point you only make money by commission. They say you will learn about the industry, the company's products and services as you go. Pretty much they set you up to fail.

The commissions are your only real source of income apart from the contest they offer from time to time. The way commissions work are as follows:

$100 for each account you sign.

55% of the firat years profits, this ia your first year residuals.

After each account is 1 year old you will get 1/12 of the residuals each month.

Now for the bad part:

1. If you fail to make quota one month, the next month all your residual based commissions are reduced by 10%.

2. If you put the client on a month to month instead of a 3 year contract your residual based commissions are reduced by 10%.

3. If you price them at pass through its another 10% reduction, if enhanced pass through its only 5%. They want you to put your clients on bucket pricing because they make a lot more money.

The company's management leaves a lot to be desired. Managers tend to show favoritism to those signing a lot if deals. This is because they make part of their money off the employeea hard work. They tend to look the other way when certain employees do things that clearly break company policies or are juat plan unethical. Employees have shown up under the influence of drugs or alcohol and managers look the other way. They seem to ignore sexual harrassment and inappropriate touching. Additionally employees have misrepresented to clients the facts about the contract or lease they are signing. Managers lack the professionalism to pull people aaide and talk to them about something, rather the like to call people out in front of all there coworkers.

They fail to inform you about the financial liability you have, such as paying for feea or equipment. As for their contest they are rarely fair. It seems only those in favor with management win. They will change the requirements of them without telling you.

If I were someone looking for a job in this industry or a merchant looking for sevice I would avoid this company if possible. I would use companies like Heartland or other direct processors.
