A saleswoman from Entrust Energy came to my door and claim she want to see my electric bill, given she said I was paying too much. I asked her if she was from a electric supply company, she said "No." I stupidly gave her my bill and access to my phone, where she called someone, gave my info, and then she left, saying nothing would change on my next bill, just it will be lower in charge. Gotten a letter from JCP&L claiming I authorized to change my electric supply company to Entrust Company. I was 'slammed'. I was lucky to call JCP&L back within a window where I can stop the change before Entrust became my supplier. Entrust Energy is nothing but a bad company, trying to trick people to switch to them. Do *NOT* trust them.
On 11-25-2014 I was contacted by Entrust Energy salesman. At the time he told my brother that he was a worker from ComEd and he then stated that he was here to inquire about my electric bill being to high. He told me that there were charges on the bill that should not be there, and that he and his company worked with ComEd. He said he needed to see a utility bill for my lights and gas and that the charges would be taken off. I asked to see his ID and it had nothing on it to prove that he was working with ComEd. I then noticed that his company was Entrust Energy and that he was trying to switch my service over and I then told him that I did not want to switch. He then told me that there would be no switch and he asked for my phone number so that the company could verify that I was the account holder. He said someone would call to verify it and a woman did call, I then told her that I wanted nothing to do with their company. This company is a scam and they are trying to switch peoples energy utilities without their knowledge.
Entrust Energy came to my door today stating they were representing JCP&L and that they needed to verify my bill to make sure a certain credit/deduction was taken off my bill. at that moment I was busy and they said they would come back. I googled the company and read that they were switching peoples electric company with out the customers knowledge. when they came back I specifically said I'm sorry I misunderstood why you were here I'm not interested in switching companies and she still claimed yo be a contractor for JCP&L and just needed to see my bill. I said no. I called JCP&L and they absolutely are not sending people door to door to verify bills. Why would they? Don't they have all that info! please be aware they are writing down your customer number and switching your account to them. It is terrible that they have to lie to gain new business.
