EOS CCA Reviews

I received a "debt collection" letter for a balance with my cell phone provider that does not exist. I have only had one account with AT&T, which is the one I currently use, and I have never missed a payment, and I could not have service if I had an outstanding balance.

I was a Centurylink internet customer from 2008-2013. I left Centurylink when I purchased a new home and changed providers. My Centurylink account balance was paid in full upon departing.

In November 2014 I received a letter from EOS CCA claiming I owed $192.33 to them reference a Centurylink account from 2010, which they now control.

I had never received any correspondence from Centurylink, or any entity, relating to this alleged "debt". I know 100% for a fact I settled my account. Now years later, I'm being accused of incurring this debt.

On Movember 21, 2014 I received a phone call from a suspect sounding collector from EOS CCA, asking for money reference the Centurylink account. I refused to pay without verifying the legitimacy of the debt.

I called Centurlink, and centurylink has NO KNOWLEDGE OF ANY DEBT.

I called EOS CCA back. EOS CCA gave me a special number to relate to Centurylink. I CALLED CENTURYLINK AGAIN, they verified my account theough the special number. Centurylink still shows no debt at all of any kind.

EOS CCA is still attempting to blackmail me into paying them, stating the debt will hit my credit report next month. I work hard, and my FICO is 730. This should be criminal.

How can a debt sit in la-la-land from 2010 until November of 2014 (almost 5 years) and only then hit your credit report? Because EOS CCA are theives and fraud is their specialty, apparently.

I received a phone call from this phone number listed as "unknown". I let it go into my voicemail but they didnt leave a message. I investigated the number and saw a lot of information related to bogus collecting. I called them back from a different phone and learned the company name EOS CCA. The man spoke with an Indian accent. He would not provide any information about his company. While on the phone I searched his company name and learned more information of people pretending to be from EOS CCA and even read about other cases with Indian accents. that were scams. I read all this information on the web to him over the phone. He assured me he knew all claims.

Each time he said "this is a personal and private matter", always asking for my name and if the phone number I called from was the same EOS CCA originally called. Without disclosing any personal information, I began asking details about the company: name, location, number of employees, ownership, establishment, etc. He only provided name and location and said he was not authorized to disclose the rest of the information.

EOS CCA is a legitamate company but this man did not pass my test. And after reading information on the web about his company and phone number it looks, smells, sounds and likely is a scam. Especially because I have no outstanding debt. I hung up and have blocked their number from my phone. I recommend the same for you.
