On thier facebook page - Ericka and Karla Cortez write with glee - "WATCH OUT FOR THE CORTEZ SISTERS" and i can say that i have had a scary 4 days learning how true that statement is.
I have been helping a firend thru a scary encounter with them, i have been very worried for my friend, here is what happened
My friend T is a clown and contracted to work with ericka and karla cortez in league city on sept 27th 2014 for 2 hours for a child's party. T had been very much looking forward to the event but a few hours before the party she had a personal emergency and could not be there
instead of canceling she brought me into it as i know lot's of great performers and together we obtained "chalsey" one of the cutest and most requested performers in town who children adore to save the situation a few hours before the job. Chalsey loved the kids and vice versa, the Cortez sisters, Ericka and Karla were very complimentary to her at the party, very happy with the activities at the party, taking lots pictures which they posted with happiness on their facebook, Chalsey got started early so they kept her there the entire agreed upon time including a little bit extra time as well and paid her $180 with many compliments etc.
The next day, it became like one of those clown horror movies where the gang members chase the clown down a dark alley LOL
Ericka contacted T and cursed at her in a very angry hate filled way and threatened her in some ways specific and other way vague unless she returned half the payment - $90
T expressed some alarm at the tone and then Karla jumped in - she seems to be more able to control herself and her temper and said basically that it did not matter that T covered the job with a good clown, and they kept her there working the agreed upon time - there was also an issue that they had discussed having a magic show, but the 2 sisters encouraged the clown to continue with other activities and never let her know they were ready for the show - a breakdown in communication, possibly premeditation.
T disagreed that she should return half the money for a job they liked so much the day before but she had a very uneasy feeling that these 2 ladies - Ericka and Karla Cortez could be dangerous, she was very worried, even almost in tears with her voice wobbling - scared. These two women are really pieces of work - scaring a clown for God's sake - wow!
T went on their facebook and not only saw their happy and joyful pictures of the birthday party activities with the clown but their glee in a similar incident getting over on someone and they posted and i quote them exactly
" WATCH OUT FOR THE CORTEZ SISTERS" exactly - of league city texas - watch out for them in deed !
