Purchased a pair of cuff earrings from Shut Up and Cuff Me on etsy. Earrings stated they fit an adult ear, seller showed a description of a two wire earring in regards to how to wear. The earrings purchased were not made this way and were wired so tight that the could not be adjusted and would not fit the ear, cost $50.

Contacted Donna Spadafore the owner stating that the earrings were defective. Seller stated they do not give refunds nor would they repair them. Etsy is a company that does not stand by their customers nor does the seller stand by her product. Donna become rude, basically stating I was lying, yet would not review the earrings to see that they are indeed defective. Very unprofessional, poor customer service.

Buyer Beware. I would not recommend this store. In my opinion the seller knew the earrings were defective. Stated to the seller that she should stand by her product and that she violated the implied warranty of the products she was selling.

I will be reporting etys to everyone I can find. They never take a case from a buyer and do anything with it. Once you make the purchase, your out of luck. They don't give any contact information on themselves in order to actually talk to a person about an issue. They have their money and don't care about anyone else.. This is the 2nd time I've been got by etsy. 2nd time my fault, but never again. Etsy has became nothing more then a scam and a joke..

This store owner is not only un-professional but a pure sham! Products are junk, bought a monogrammed shirt from her and was the cheapest material, not what she has listed not at all what she said it would be! When contacted about the poor quality was completely ignored! Will never purchase from this person again nor would I recommend anyone else out there does either!

Like many people, we like to support small businesses. This is a cautionary tale with a few tips on what to look for and what you should try to avoid. Like anyone ready to drop some change on some pretty bling, we did our research. The first thing we did was look at reviews. They looked good. Too good. That should have been our first warning.

We thought if we ordered all our rings for our wedding from the same shop there'd be consistency and quality in the materials. We were wrong. Despite contacting the shop within the designated time frame for returns, she did not honor her own posted policies, and we ended up with mismatched items we were unable to return.

Now, for the full story.

We ordered two rings in white gold both 14K. They did not match. We sent images and contacted her asking for a refund. Despite contacting her within the designated time frame for returns, she refused to honor her own return policy. We were left with an expensive item that we didn't want to own.

Then there was his ring. It wasn’t made to order and was resized poorly. It had a very visible seam and a large chip of white gold was missing. When we asked her about this we were told it was normal. We were visiting jewelers the next day, so we took it in to get their opinions. The consensus was that it was poorly made and we were quoted hundreds of dollars to get a new one properly made. I shared these informed options from the jewelers with her and noted that the display images didn’t show any of these (supposedly) normal flaws. She refused to make a second ring or admit there was anything wrong with it.

We left reviews noting these honest issues and the poor customer service. She flagged them for removal. Etsy was contacted about this issue and did nothing. Basically, the shop owner flags all review she doesn't like so, when shopping, people think they're shopping from a reputable jeweler with high customer satisfaction and quality materials. In reality, that's just not the case. Only 17% of her sales were reviewed. That's one of the lowest percentages on Etsy. Etsy, when contacted about these issues, refused to take any actions against her shop or her flagging of negative reviews for automatic removal.

When you’re shopping on Etsy, be aware. Run the numbers of reviews to sales to get an idea of if the shop you’re ordering from is using the same practices. Also, avoid this shop. We really wish we'd never ordered.

I placed an order on the website for a mens ring and received it on 8/28/14. The ring I bought for $1,450 did not look like the picture on their website. Quality was poor. I contacted seller on 9/2/14 to return the ring. There was no phone number to call, only an email. The website states that there is a 30 DAY MONEY BACK GUARANTEE. It was only 4 DAYS and the seller refused to take the ring back and accused me of blackmailing them because I told them I was going to contact my credit card company to dispute the charge. The website also states 100% MONEY BACK GUARANTEED. I would recommend that no one ever purschase from this seller. They are obviously dishonest because they advertise a specific refund policy but they do not actually honor it. I have screen shots from their website documenting everything as well as the emials from the seller refusing to refund my purchase and accusing me of blackmail because I was going to contact my credit card company. This is a perfect example of why credit card companies allow you to dispute a charge. Go to another jeweler.

We spent 72.39 on necklaces from Savannah Shine out of Missouri thru etsy.com. She lied to our child (who saved up her allowance money to purchase these necklaces) and told us that she had shipped them. Never received and paypal states that since it is older than 45 days our child is out the money. Etsy will only remove her from selling on their site which doesn't help us any. Plus the scammer can just open under another name. She should be ashamed of herself for stealling from a child.

Laura Smith of Cobblestone Cloth in Hamilton, Ontario ripped me off.

The only people who purchase her cloth diaper and clothing items are people who already know her and feel bad for her because she's poor and too uneducated to find a real career.

Her "business" facebook likes are all from people she knows and she practically begged them to like her page on facebook.

I made the mistake of liking her page and placing an order after a friend told me to try Cobblestone and Cloth. Worst mistake I've ever made!

I had to wait nearly three months for my item to arrive and it fell apart within a week. Laura has no idea how to properly sew. She is not a professional seamstress. From what I've been told, Laura is just a moronic pothead looking to make a quick buck so she can sit on her fat a* all day while Manny supports her - and just barely seeing as he earns only minimum wage.

I requested a refund and Laura said she would issue one but I haven't seen it yet! I'm sure she doesn't have the money to refund. She apparently quickly blows all of her money on weed and liquor so she can sit in her backyard of her trashy house every day smoking weed and neglecting her child. A close friend of the Smith family said that Laura and Manny are always borrowing money and that Laura refuses to get a job.

The entire Smith family has a horrible reputation as being scam artists, incest and psychotic. Google it, you'll find out so much about her family line. I wish I had never made the mistake of going with Laura Smith of Cobblestone Cloth. If you want to purchase quality cloth diapers from talented individuals, check out etsy. Laura Smith will only rip you off as she has a HUGE history of doing so.
