I am making this fraud report of the company Experian Credit Report I never ask for it ,they charge my Chase Bank first a 1.00 on 1/16 and then $29.95 on 1/26
When signing up for a $1 7 day trial to view your credit report the website says you can cancel anytime during your 7 day trial. What they don't tell you is this cancellation is not available online, you must call the customer service phone number, however, they are only open until 9pm central time. So if you live on the West Coast you must call before 7pm and therefore not receiving your full 7 day trial. If you call to request cancollation the following day they will kindly cancel and still charge you a months dues. When you explain you tried to cancel the night before but were unable to they direct you to an email address which someone responds to saying they cannot help you. This company should be required to offer online access to cancellation sinice this is the way you sign up. I'm sure thousands of other consumers habe fallen victim of this trap and the company continues to steal our money. It's about time we stood together and forced changes on these trap websites.
I contacted ""Free Credit Report.com"" approximately 3 years ago. I had no idea that they were charging me as much as $50 per month for all these years.
After checking for another problem, this is how I found out what they had been doing all this time, they even signed me up to have two separate accounts, that is how they felt they could get away with charging me up to $50 per month.
After contacting my credit card about this, they then sent me records of each and every transaction that was placed on my bill. They would even charge of another company brought up my credit report for any reason.
I was able to get every penny returned to my credit card which was hundreds of dollars. After this, I called the ""Free Credit Report.com"" company and this person advised that all you have to do is call or contact them on line to get a credit report done, you automatically are signing up for this for the rest of your life, or at least until you discover the deceptive practices they conduct.
I still get emails that might say something like, ""a friend wants to talk to you"", and then you find out that it is actually credit reporting companies who feel that they can headline a email deceptively in order to get you to click on their web sight. Problem is, I get probably 5 emails which are lies every day from this not so free ""free credit report.com"". I seen now why there is already almost 500 complaints already logged against them. Oh well, live and learn!!!!! I learned to check my credit card charges every month for scammers!!!!! :)
