For the past three years, I have received notifications for an unpaid toll from a company claiming to be the E-470 Public Highway Authority. THey also send a fake letter from an attorney's office ("Civil Penalty Assessment Notice" from "Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson, LLP, Attorneys at Law"). This statemenrt always arrives on pink paper with black ink telling me that I have missed a payment. I know the statement is fake because there is no picture of my license plate, which the state is required to provide. Also, they continue to send notices of unpaid tolls on a license plate that belongs to a car I no longer own.
Until very recently, the statement didn't even include which E470 toll I used or the date it happened. They have since added this to their report that they send and continue to state that my failure to pay the fee will result in legal action and collections. Since they have been sending me this type of notice for three years and nothing has happened, I know it is bogus. I have not called the associated numbers listed on the statement because I do not want them to have my telephone number to add to my contact information.
Warning to anybody out of state. I'm from dallas. I understand tolls. I don't understand the persistant incompetence of this organization.
They sent my bill to an address that was 12 years out of date. I could not pay with the license plate alone. I called customer service and was met with computerized options that kept directing me to buy their version of a toll tag. I just wanted to pay the bill. I had and now have no plans to ever use that road again.
When no bill arrived, I figured the local toll authority and these jokers had an agreement just like many other states.
Funny they get the correct address now... after they've tacked on fees and charges. Scam.

Obvious scam - I have never been in this state and have never driven on the roads yet they send bills with late fees in the hope that some gullible morons will send them money...hopefully some day someone will do their job in Gov't and actually prosecute someone they are supposed to...
I got bills from ExpressToll but had not been on a toll highway for over a year. Called the company and got a person on the line. She said she could see that the “lincense plate had been misread. There was a glare on it.” She had “made the adjustments” and was forwarding the bill to the “rightful owner.” My guess is that is the standard response when someone actually calls to question them.
Got a notice from these con men wanting $9.30. I was on E470 @ 1230am on 8/29 dodging toll booths, I guess. I thought I was in Canada fishing. Silly me....
We have received 4 Different statements from LicensePlateToll. Every time I call to complain they say it was a mistake and they have removed the charge. It's amazing that they keep getting away with this scam and many people probably pay the amount due without realizing what a racket this is. Who can the public complain to? It obviously doesn't do any good to call the number on the statement. There must be some legal way to stop this scam.
As of today, June 19,2015, I have received three (3) billing statements for a license plate toll to a road I have never been on. I live in Olather,Colorado, 285 miles from the metropolitan Denver area. Nothing I own has ever been on the 470 toll road system. I'm being billed $8.15 with a threat to charge another $20 for collection fees.
I have never intended to pay this place anything from the beginning but I only hope there are others who will think and investigate before they send this ripoff company anything. I can't figure out I could be dumb enough to believe there is any possibilty this is a legitimate company.
I called the toll free number and was never able to get a real human on the phone. All of their options to speak with an agent lead to another recorded message. It's difficult to imagine how we could so easily get ripped off.

Penalties and Fees assessed for something I Never received
I was shocked when, from out of nowhere, I received a Civil Penalty Notice in a Pink envelope for close to $700. When I called Express Toll to advise the agent that this has to be a mistake, I was transferred to the "team" that could help me. I spoke Jennifer, she advise me that although they sent many statements to my old address, it was my fault that I did not receive them. I told her that I have been getting toll statements at my updated address since October of last year, and that all of the sudden, it's strange I received this notice at my updated address. It seemed like she was only interested in me paying the bill and not the fact that I never received any of the statements in question. So I asked to speak to a manager. Jennifer said she would transfer me but only disconnected the call. I am very disappointed in the way this agent handled the call. I called back once again only to be told Jennifer updated him on what to say. They only removed $150 for all the fees and penalties assessed for something I never received!!! What a Scam!!! I will avoid the toll road from now on!!!

TO MY KNOWLEDGE I HAVE NEVER DRIVEN THROUGH A TOLL BOOTH. I HAVE A BILL FOR $18.25 WITH NO DATE
OF VIOLATION NOR ANY LOCATION. I BELIEVE THIS TO BE A SCAM THAT TARGETS TOURISTS. I WOULD SUGGEST
STAY OUT OF COLORADO AND LET THEM STAY STONED ON THEIR LEGAL DRUGS.
