About 4 years ago we had Fairbanks Construction install 3 windows in our home. After the very first heavy rain we noticed water leaking in on the floor. We called Fairbanks to complain and after several phone calls they sent someone out who re caulked the windows... Next big rain we had, more water came in. Started calling and after several more phone calls they came out to re caulk windows again... i kept asking why they leaked so much and I got several different answers from them... Poor window design, to leaking caulk, to poor framing of my house. I actually had one of them snap at me and say "look lady, all windows leak!" They sold me the windows and they say poor design? They installed them and they say leaking caulk (after 3 or 4 return trips to caulk)? And I have never had windows leak in all the 50 years of owning a home until these schisters installed them. Suffice to say I am now out of their installation warranty period. After several more leaking issues I called a different contractor to have him inspect the windows. He told me they looked like they were installed by a five year old. He said the windows themselves were fine, just crappy work. He basically reinstalled the windows this spring and after several rains I have not had one single issue.
I have read numerous other reviews on this company and most of them have been from people having similar issues. I wish I had done my homework before agreeing to having these guys do the work. I hope this review stops someone else from making the mistake I did.
Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for your home improvement needs!
