Thank you for giving the input but I want to mention that I got a call from Kids Characters claiming that Famous Characters is closing. They are requesting me to invest but I needed to think first and told them I will just call them. I am 83 years old.
Now I realized that Kids Characters is also owned by the Zaken owner. I will make sure that Kids Characters will be reported to the FTC.
I ordered a starter kit including an initial supply of handout brochures Plus an additional supply of business cards fliers, and brochures and mailing addresses for direct mail . Total cost of over 3000 dollars. This over a period of 3 months. I have yet to receive even 1 dollar in commissions.

I was invited to join this huge organization May 2013 in an attempt to earn huge profit potential in such a little time and effort on my part. The company promise or guaranteed i would make atleast $2,200 with in the first 45 days of becoming an agent with them or my membership payment of $119.0 would be refunded.
The only commission payment i received was around $8.22 from a purchase i made off my own credit card.
This company is relentless! Very determined individuals trying to sell Bogus packages costing large money amounts up front promising huge payouts in return. The only one benefits from these sales are the ones selling them.
I invested around $700. total in mail advertisements direct marketing to what i thought were potential customers, yet i never got any reply nor registration required to earn on commissions from any.
Yet, this company continued to try and sell media advertisement to boose business profits potential.
In sum: This company is a business, indeed! However, their form of business tactics to sell is a rip-off, indeed!

I received a mailer the other day (it is 11/8/2013 today) and it was for a work at home job that uses marketing *red flag* to get their products out and needed my help. They "guaranteed" I would earn 50% of the profit *red flag*. I google My Famous Characters, LLC and found to be a real-looking website. I googled the phone number for the business and what came up was a customer service number for the Tanda Pearl tooth whitening system. I thought to myself, well this is not right. I kept reading through the mailer and it was asking me for $119 for a marketing kit to get my business started.
There was an email spot to email the store on the website, so thinking that someone used a real company's name for scam, I did the right and moral thing to do and notified them. I still haven't heard back from them. I don't think I will ever hear back from them since it is a fake website. Too bad too, looks like they had good deals on toys (lol).
I just wanted to give a heads up out there. If they are asking you for money, don't do it! Would your 9-5 ask you for money? NO! In fact, they would rather they buy you a cheap stapler then have to pay you back for one. Just think about that before you fall into any scam. If the scam looks real and states "risk free", that is about the time to make a search engine your friend. They do come in quite handy.
I ordered the Famous Characters Course Starter Kit Jan. 2014 at a price of 139.66 dollars of which I received Ok. It included a manual on various methods of advertizing childrens famous products of which I would get a % of the sale if a customer ordered the product as well as any furure orders.
I was then sold a mentoring program and advertizing materials at a cost of $2500 which would be reimbursed to me when I reached sales of $5,000. Today as of 6/30/2014 I have not received any dollars at all. This after sending out 850 Postcards and fliers, Plus I had to pay the postage.
Then during my mailing the companys web sight went down for some 3 weeks. Consequently my mailing was a complete loss. The company gave me 100 $10.00 gift cards of which I mailed out again to prospective customers supplied by the company of which I still did not received any orders.
I have spent over $3,000 dollars to date all without any returns. What a Rip-Off!
