Fashionista Boutique Reviews

I cannot believe this woman thinks she can get away with all the illegal activities that she does. Running a small store in a small town is hard, but if your store can't succees without stealing then your in the wrong business. When you meet Julie Farnham she is the warmest, nicest person you've ever met. This instills trust. You would never believe she would steal the patents for your candle products and give to her sister in law! She tells local candle makers that she needs the ingredient list and instructions for legal reason, in case a customer asks for it due to allergies. Then she takes it and gives the ingredient list to her sister in law. Patent thief!!

Victim after victim, she steals from everyone. She will take your expensive consignment products and sell them, sure thats a good thing. When your products get sold she will give you $1! I asked her about this and she said she put them on sale to move the merchandise.

However, that wasn't the agreement. To get out of paying me my percentage, she lies and says she put it on sale for $2. So I only get $1 for things that should have gone for over $60 a piece. She is a dirty business woman and will back stab you. She sold my items for the original asking price of $60 but only gave me $1. This is the scam she runs. She takes your clothing, you BOTH agree on a price, 50/50 percentage. Then she sells them, but you only get a palsley amount because she states she placed the items on clearance. BEWARE!!! I think this is a disgrace. Most people that give clothes to consignment are looking for a few dollars because they need it. To scam needy people is simply disgusting.

Her morals are questionable. She surrounds herself with criminals, mostly pedophiles, but she does not care as long as it benefits her. She is a rotten mother who lost custody of 3 of her 4 children. She has a little daughter. She allows pedophiles to bath the child for $100. She is so crazy she feels there is nothing wrong with pedophiles "just" bathing her daughter! She has been reported to child protective services for these actions, but her husband sticks up for her, so the child continues to be peddled in this way. Julie Farnham also sleeps with men for money. A married man gave her $20,000 for 1 years worth of sex to start the fashionista boutique back in 2012-13. Questionable morals and very unstable. I do not care what mental issues this woman has. There is no excuse for her behaviour.

My girlfriend and I met Julie Farnham back in November of 2013. Julie was just opening her consignment store "Fashionista Boutique" in Waverly. The store didn't have much at the time, and Julie was seeking vendors to sell their crafts and jewelry. My girlfriend is a full time college student who makes jewelry and homemade candles for extra money. I help with managing her profits, and I also buy all of the supplies myself. My job entails finding her stores, and craft shows to sell her goods as well as filling Ebay orders. I'm a salesman for a local car dealership and I know how to sell products and deal with business matters, so I handle that aspect of my girlfriends business. My girlfriend is the artist and I am the brains behind everything.

The deal between Julie Farnham and us was that we would give Julie the products for her store to sell.

Since it was our product, our supplies, and time spent making the jewelry and candles, we would net 75% profit and Julie would net 25%. The supplies that went into making these products for Julies store included: sterling silver, glass, semi-precious stones and Swarovski crystals/beads for the jewelry. Wicks, dyes, essential oils for fragrance, heat resistant glass jars, lids, soy/beeswax for the candles. The cost JUST for these supplies to make everything given to Julie was $3,215. Each piece of jewelry or candle was priced accordingly. Some of the candles had sterling silver semi precious stoned rings at the bottom. Julie specifically asked for this type of candle, due to the "Diamond Candle" recent popularity. One day I was at work and my girlfriend dropped off the final products for Julies store and the contract. Julie was not at the store, but some other man was there. The man told my GF that Julie would sign the contract and get it back to her. Believing that Julie Farnham was a decent, trustworthy business woman, my GF left the contract with the co-worker to be signed by Julie when she returned. As time went on, Julie ignored our emails and calls.

We live about 45 minutes away, so we drove to the store one day to see what was up. I asked Julie for the signed contract to which she responded that she had already given it to us- LIAR!! I quickly went to my car and made a hand written contract for Julie to sign, just for us to have something, anything pertaining to a contract. Julie flat out refused to sign anything and pretended to have a heart attack!! In the mist of this fake "attack" she was breathing heavily and crying, yet she was still able to muster some threats of pressing charges against us for harassment if we ever came to her store again. We went to the police and they told us this was a "civil" matter not criminal, and that without a contract there wasn't much they could do. It was all hear say, he said/she said. The police officer did offer to speak to Julie Farnham, to try to resolve this and investigate the accusations. But the sad truth is without a contract, there is no proof of a theft. When the police did speak with Julie Farnham, she stated that the products were HERS and hers alone. When the police got back to us, they told us what she said, and they suggested we file a small claims lawsuit against her. They did warn us again, without a contract the courts would be obliged to believe her since she is stating the products are 100% hers.

Two weeks later I received a text message from Julie Farnham. It is December at this point. She said she wanted to speak to me alone, without my girlfriend. I drove all the way out to Waverly after work believing that perhaps she came to her senses and decided to give me the signed contract. It was around 8pm at this point and her store was closed. The front door was locked but the lights were on. I knocked on the door and Julie let me in. She was smiling and very friendly, so my guard was lowered. I thought it was strange that she locked the door behind me, but the store was closed so I didn't think much of it. She told me that she would sign the original contract IF I gave her $200!!! I told her that I refused, that she had our product and the supplies alone for us costed over $3,000. She went into some sob story about needing extra money for the holiday season, her heating bill was high this month, etc. etc. I FLAT OUT refused to give her a dime. She then touched me and said that she would have sex with me for the $200. She was prostituting herself to me. This woman is nothing more than a con artist, liar, thief and a prostitute. She then said that if I didn't give her $200 she would rip up her clothes and go to the police and say I tried to rape her. I told her to go ahead, a rape kit would prove I never touched her. This woman must deal with dummies on a regular basis. She really thought I would fall for her tactics. But con people like Julie Farnham seek out potential victims, the weak, or stupid to take advantage of. I am not one of those. My girlfriend is naïve and sheltered. If Julie had dealt with me alone, none of this would have happened.

We are out of our $3,215 alone just for all the supplies that went into the products-I'm not even counting the time it took for my girlfriend to make everything. I'm not including the profits we could have made. I'm ONLY including the money we lost for the supplies. If you want to figure profits and time spent, our loss is much greater than $3,215. I did some asking around on Facebook and this con woman is so crazy she allows her young daughter to be around a known child molester. She also lost custody of 3 of her children thats how unstable this woman is. She is one shady character who took advantage of our trust. One little slip up with that contract and we are out thousands of dollars. We thought she looked, acted and sounded like an honest business woman. Looks can be deceiving. My girlfriend isn't like me. She wants to forget all of this, put it behind us, learn from it. That is fine, we have no choice but to move on. I didn't say anything for a long time, however, I see she is continuing to scam less fortunate people. Maybe if I had spoken up earlier, people would have been informed. I chose not to say anything, and Julie Farnhams thieving ways continues. If she can con me, a seasoned car salesman, then she can certainly scam others not so street smart. I don't want this to happen to another hard working, cash strapped college student or single mother. Unfortunitely, it looks like it already has, that is why I finally spoke up.
