Filled for my LLC, then recieved in my mailbox a letter from the FCFS posing as representation of the State of Florida and the Secretary of State. The letter has my business information and a notice/respond date. Then it states that my articles have been filed and there is one more step to recieve my "Certificate of Status". Below it list the fee price of 47.99 and the option to pay via credit card or check.
"congratulations on registering your business with the state of Florida. Your articles have been filed with the secretary of state and are complete. You have one step left to attain your elective Florida certificate of status. And corporate agreement templates." My document number is L14000082610. The certificate of status fee is $47.99.
It it was very wordy and the above sentences are paraphrasing.
I stupidly sent in a check (#1040) on 5/28/14 For $47.99.
SCAM! Look them up. They violate Title 39, United States Code, Section 3001 by making this look like a bill. I called just a few minutes ago and the woman on the phone laughed when I asked if they were a real company. She then transferred me to a 'Jessica' who claimed that they were in fact a real company. I beg to differ. I'd like to know how they run such a scam inside a Publix, ha. DO NOT give them any money. This is ridiculous. I will be filing an official report as well.
I filed for a LLC company on line with the state government official site. I paid for certificate of status and a Certified Copy. Within 3 days i received an official form of the certificate of status requested and a payment due of $44.99. It is very misleading if you do not have all the information on hand to know that you do not owe for the document referenced and you did not order. It truly makes you believe that you owe that. This is a big rip off!
