Flow Motors Reviews

I followed my friend to Flow in his truck to have his Cadillac STS serviced/repaired. On the way there the brakes on the truck went out so the owner decided to have a Flow mechanic look at it and he also turned in his Cadillac over to the other side and we waited. Several hours passed and they never even came out to look at his truck as we could plainly see it the whole time and I was in the market for a new car for my daughter so I walked around the lot looking at economy cars. I was ignored and even told the "cars somebody like you(me) could afford were on the used side. I decided I'll stick with Mazdas at that point, never like Chevy service anyways as they have a rep for being crooked.

My friend was still waitingfor his truck then got the news his Caddy would be a few dayas, we were getting tired and went to the other side to see if they were going to fix his truck. Here's what happened next and is documented by secu7rity cams and our subsequent complaint. MIND you all that were were next door the whole time and had a clear veiw of the truck minus a short break for liunch about the same time they broke. We watched that truck for HOURS and what we got next could have never been determined in the few minutes we were gone.

Jack went to the guy who headed the service dept. and asked when were they going to fix his truck. The guy looked at us funny and although we were ahead of two others the man told us to wait and got the others out and pulled us alone to give us the bad news. BUT first he went on and on about why they couldn't find us, we were supposed to be in the GM waiting room. That seemed to make him nervous and we soon found out why. Jack told him he was on the Cadillac side watching the truck the whole time and nobody came to look at it and they was no reason for him to read off whatever it was he was trying to read off. Turned out it was a total brake reconstructionm totaling close to $4500 after taxes with an offer to discount tires! They only thing wrong with the truck was a leaking rear main brake line. A $35-50 dollar part. Jack recently had the brakes done, front end rebuilt, the works at a reputable local shop for like $800. Anyways, we were flabbergasted!

That lying piece of trash. They never moved the truck or came out to look at the truck, crawled under the truck, sat inside to pump the brakes on the truck, NOTHING. It was close to closing time so I ran to the parts dept and bought a bottle of brake fluid. The rude employees wouldn't lend us any tools and even tried to keep the truck keys claiming it was irresponsible of the to let us drive off like that. That may have been true had the LOOKED at the truck instead of writing down a bunch of crap on the BACK of a work order. Here's what I had to do because of the irresposible and greedy FLOW MOTOR GROUP.

I only had one tiny adjustable wrench so I removed a couple of straps that hold the fuel line and brake main close to the frame and pulled as much slack up as I could on the deteriated bake line and I twisted it until it stopped leaking on the other end, filled the resivour back up with fluid which ran down all the way allowing air in the front brakes. I pumped them hard and we drove the 35-40 miles back from Winston-Salem Nc to Salisbiru Nc in sometimes heavy traffic. I used to be an experimental test driver and mechanic so I did the driving and we go home safely although it took hours. It was very hot and we are both disabled, I'm a disabled Veteran and crawling under that truck on the paved parking lot in 95 degree heat took everything out of me except the will to get us home safely.

We came to Flow Motors because of the bad reputation Team Motor group has. Like I told my buddy, seen one GM dealer you seem em all. The story isn't over. We still had to come back a few days later for the 06 STS. They replaced a Module for about $900 claiming the car could now communicate and all lights were off, that was from a manager who took the complaint. WELL but the time it left him and the measly $100 he knocked off the bill the shop got to it. They called claiming the ABS light is on now and he needed to repalce the LFET WHEEL HUB! I just replaced that hub the month before. Whatever those liars at the shop did to it after the manager looked it over, it's back to the same error codes and almost $1000 wasted.

Why did Americans feel the need to bail out GM? Look at all the people they killed before admitting they had ignition problems? Another company would have taken over, even a foriegn company would be better than the crap we continue to endure from GM!
