Foley Marine & Industrial Engines, Inc. Reviews

He did not care about my case at all. He didn't listen to what I wanted. Originally we had agreed what to put in the paperwork and when I saw the final draft it wasn't anything like what we talked about/what I wanted. I paid a lot of $$ for nothing. I could have done everything he did on my own. After all was said and done, I realized I shouldn't have even gotten an attorney. The only thing he cared about was getting paid. At the beginning I was told I would owe around x-amount for the whole thing. It was total bull---I am still being charged and the case was closed months ago. I wouldn't be so upset having to pay that much (even though I was told it would be a lot less) if he'd done something....ANYTHING for me. He works at a small firm and it seems like he doesn't have a large clientele (or a clientele at all) so he has to get out as much $$ as he can from the clients he does have.

I own a boating company and I sold a piece of equipment to Foley. They said they would pay $200 for it and I said I would not sell it for that price but that I would sell it for $500 which they then agreed to. $500 was the final price and we agreed on it.

They come and pick up the sold item and then in the mail I recieve $200 from them. I call and ask what is going on because that had not been the price we agreed on and they rudely said that I must be losing my memory because I was incorrect.

I now lost $300 because they refuse to pay the price that we had originally agreed on and treated me horribly. I am disgusted with their lack of manners and with how they ripped me off.

I would never encourage anyone to do business with them for this reason and for the fact that they clearly do not care about the people they work with. Their awful attitude and lying is a great example of what everyone should strive not to be in the business world.

The company charged my credit card on October 30th for a standard product advertised on their web site. A ""Foley Hytork 105 Amp Alternator." They sent the wrong one even though the service manager called me the next day to verify the correct one. They never sent a replacement. The office staff would not or could not answer my question as to when it would be shipped and referred me to the shipping department. A month later and no alternator I called Phil and on November 17th he said it would be shipped "this week" it wasnt. After thanksgiving I called and the shipping department said it was backordered and would be in that week. It wasnt. i started calling weekly as they NEVER contacted me and they finally said i dont know when you will get it.

On December 12th, I no longer needed it as I found an alternative. I called to cancel the order and they said it was already shipped. It wasn't. It was, however shipped on December 18th, a week later. Meanwhile I rejected the October Charge due to the misinformation and lies I had been subjected to as I didnt trust them. I already asked for a refund and was told by the shipping department that it was "being processed" by finance. It wasn't.

They are now trying to claim it was a "special order". This is not a special order as their own Tip #91 states "WE have come up with an alternative . . . a replacement alternator for your Perkins Diesel" This means that any perkins engine can use their product. It is in no way a special order. Even in emails they state "Our 105 amp is designed for . . ." To say this is special order is fraudulent and without merit. In addition, they never even intimated it was a "special order". After sending back their alternator, Phil, the service manager agreed to take it back, accept the credit and we mutually agree to part ways.

Now Jay Foley has rejected the agreement and asked for the money even without delivering the part. I do not have nor want the part and demand that Mr, Foley comply with his service managers agreement and refund my money. They are just angry that I rejected the charge for a product they couldnt deliver within two months of misinformation and incompetance.

This company lies, repeatedly and is vindictive when a customer is treated poorly and fights back.
