Went to fort wayne toyota to buy a car which started out great. I had went online to apply for a loan with them and got an almost immediate response which really made me feel good with who i was working with. The salesman was really good at his job "MAKING THAT SALE" and he did. he talked so nice and tryed everything to find us a car that was "good" for me and my family.
Then we went thru a couple cars over the phone and of course the car i likied wouldnt work with financing. So our salesman sends me a picture of a black car with a whole in the front pumper. So know im a little confused this huge dealer is limited to stuff like that. So the salesman gets me all excited about a car in my pricerange according to him he sends me pics its a nice looking car.
So long story short i go look at the car it seems ok but i make the comment the tires were low on tread. His comment to me was his service department checked this car nout and the tires would last at least the summer if not thru winter. Well after all the sweet talking B.S. they pulled it sounded like a good deal. Then at the time we start doing loan papers im told the car payment is 100 dollars more per month than expected. Now i talk to my wife we are a family of 5 and on one income which is mine and we decide "ok we can swing it but w emay be a little tight but we really need a second car".
So we get done take the car home i notice a little rattle nothing too major. We had a trip planned and after going by what my salesman sweet talked i was comfortable with the car. We leave on our trip , drive 450 miles to our destination to find out the tires are split with steel cords hanging out of them could blow up at any minute. Both front tires. I called them and complained to service department to find out my salesman had lied to me and the car was NEVER looked at. Of course i fought with sales manager which had every excuse on why it was my fault because i used to work in tires. Now back home i took a closer look at the car and it has bad tierod ends , swaybar links, tires , and a motor mount abot an extra 1000 dollars i repairs.
They are only wanting that SALE, screw the customer as long as they sign the papers. I iould NEVER recomend them they are CROOKS, THIEVES, AND LIARS. they put my families saftey at risk for a buck. And i take family matters VERY personal so we will see how it goes i am giving them horrible reviews on every platform i can find dont get screwed.
