Future Buildings Reviews

I have not talked to these people in over a year...

I got a call from Steve this morning out of the blue asking if I was still interested in a steel building, I said yes that I have not finalized on a particular model. That I am interested and if the deal is good I am ready to buy today.

Steve went on to say that due to the canadian/usa pipeline that is not going to happen, ther have some returned steel buildings to sell at a HUGE discount.

I said great what do you have, he did not know and had to contact the warehouse to see what was in and proceded to ask me exactly what I wanted I told him I wanted a 30x50 ish arch steel corrugated building.

5 mins later he called me back with good news, he had a 30x48 with no endwalls normally was 26k and he could give it to me for 12,999.00 + shipping wow I said sounds like a good deal.

I asked him to email me the specs and when I got home I'd take a look at the details and see if it was truely a good value.

he said he did not have time for that that this building would be gone today.

I do not appreciate hi pressure sales tactics and told him NOTHING that has to be done in a hurry fiunancially is a good deal and if he could not send specs, then Im not interested and told him not to call me back.

I then pissed off went to ebay for a quick look of the duro span type corrugated steel buildings, galvume coated with endwalls in a 30x40 for $6399.00 I quickly called him back and explained I found a very similar building for about 1/2 price from "Steel Factory" with endwalls included! He concluded that its not the same and his company uses galvume PLUS steel? rather than galvume, they both have a 30 year warranty. He started talking about company ownership and length of time in business and the plus coating onlythey offered. etc...

SO an overview...

1)he cold called me after oever 1 year.

2) told me they had RETURNS due to the oil pipeline deal not going through, not cancellations and they were 40-60% off going fast.

FYI The pipeline deal has been off and on again for years, it wold seem that if someone places an order and takes delivery they woul dnot take the building back so how do they have returns? I could understand cancellations and a loss of deposit. I asked him this 40-60% off is that form some imaginary inflated price of orr of thier NORMAL selling pricess. Kinda tripped him up he did not know how to answer... and actual returns cant be sold as new. so what gives are they returns or cancellations? It wsounds to me like they always have 40-60% off sales and were trying to use hype and time as a hurry and buy...

I feel that he was trying to RIP ME OFF which is why I did not buy from this company in the past.... if the deal is hurry hurry hurry, dont do it... please google steel buildings shed carport etc and due your due dilligence.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMAPNY

I personally will not use this company due to thier tactics... I also did the company a courtesy and told them I was not happy and I would be filing complaints.

I hope this helps a bit in your decisions to bui a new steel building... watch out for canadian comapnies selling hype and snake oil, Imagine what a return problem youll have with warranty issues.

I received an impressive brochure from future buildings, and I called them to inquire about their products

I spoke with Mr Reed Smith ,and asked him about a certain model from the procure, but he discouraged me from ordering that particular model claiming that it was going to be costly and he told me that his boss has a16×35 building that some one had ordered and couldn't pay for it ,and the great news is that it would sell for half price.

My wife was about to leave for work and she heard that and we both were exited about the savings that we are going to have.

Mr Reed continued by saying that there is a potential buyer for that building and he is depositing money on it as we speak, but if you send us a deposit right now it's yours.

The building was exactly what we were looking for a little short but we can add to it. Mr Reed Smith continued his coercion by saying that if you order this building and help us out his boss will give us many other things at cost ,in a show of appreciation.

I asked about erecting the building ,and he made sound like a walk in the park he was going to send braces to erect it on gravel we can do concrete later.

My wife and I were really moved, we faxed the signed contract along with a down payment of$2,250.00. after all ,this is a respectable company, the building has a 30 year warranty, what in the world could go wrong? ..it's even free delivery....

A delivery check list was sent with the blue print stating that I was going to be responsible for unloading the truck I was not prepared for that, I called Reed why did you neglect to tell me that earlier,we have ice storms , all my freinds are hunting every delivery I had in the past provided a fork lift . I attempted to cancel the order....

that was when Mr Reed Smith pulled rank on me ! They are keeping my deposit. When mentioned consulting my attorney, he really showed me who's boss, Future buildings has a team of expert Lawyers.

my attorney advise was to hire someone to do the unloading.

A few days before the delivery My new boss ,Reed, called me and gave me good news that his boss has a lot of insulation that he is willing to give me below cost , just to get rid of it. He gave me price of $6,000. Forgetting that he had given me a price on the insulation before for $4,000 . When I hung the phone up I realized what a crook he is I decided right away that I cannot let this company go on with this scam even if meant to loose my deposit.

His boss Nathan Davis didn't know that I had made an additional deposit of $625 to extend the building to 40 feet and he didn't hide his content to also keep that by saying that this is even better!

On November 13th 2014, my husband called Future buildings to inquire about a model from their brochure. ..the "Lean on" He spoke with Reed Smith who was very nice and helpful by telling us about an already built building that his boss is trying to get rid of at half price! I was getting ready to go to work , he continued talking with my husband who had gotten his retirement money and was looking for a building to house his Magna track....a loader... The deal sounded like Xmas in November until he tried to cancel it after learning that he was going to be responsible for unloading the truck....My husband had taken early retirement after suffering a disabling injury to his left hand. Two days before the delivery date we learned about an emergency at home, we attempted to get there, called future buildings to hold the delivery until we return, I spoke with a lady that assured me that they will get the message. We left to the airport but we could not get a flight. When we returned home my husband told me about a phone call that he had received from Reed about another deal of insulation below cost, but Reed gave him a higher quote than a previous price. We then realized that we cannot trust to order a tin can from this company. I spoke with Nathan Davis who called me a liar and threatened us with further consequenses if we cancel. He offered a $1,000 discount because the building was on its way to us. My husband had prepared a cashier check for $ 8,625 and the bank has already closed. Can we trust them to return the $1,000 after handing them the cashiers check? No! ....
