Gates GMC Buick Nissan Reviews

  • Jul 4, 2015

Last year in 2014, my buick verano that I leased in 2013 from Gates GMC Nissan started to have acceleration problem. I took it to the dealer to get it fixed. And Paul Mazza one of the sales people, who had originally leased me that car, saw me at the service center and asked me what was going on. I then told him how I was having issues with my 2013 car one and half year of usage and I was very disappointed. I told him I wish I could have a better car, that is reliable during winter for commuting, and that could have enough room to accommodate my whole family. And that how he invited me in to his desk to review how much lease payments were left on the car. We went online and made a print out of the total balance on the car which included 17 payments at $261.82 and remaining balance of $440 on the property taxes on the car. When I acquired the car, they had a program where the manufacturer (GMC) paid the property taxes and billed me for it. And then every month, while I make my car payment, I would also pay towards the property taxes balance. Therefore the total balance: car payments and property taxes on my account that we printed out was: We then started to talk about what kind/model of car I wanted, and how much I could afford based on that total amount remaining on my lease, on the downpayment I would offer, as well as the monthly payment I would be comfortable with. Paul Mazza said in his own words: "if we take your car now, you will walk...you will not have to worry about the inspection coming back to bill you for excess wear and tear. But if you wait six more month or until the lease is up, then any excess wear or mileage that they would assess, you will have to pay for...and if anything else, you will definitely have excess mileage because you are at the 33,000 miles range already on a brand new car...you've been driving all over the place..". Based on all the information and option provided to me, I decided to put down $3000 with about a 415/month payment on a new GMC Terrain, and agreed to walk from my buick verano as Paul Mazza proposed. Then when all was set and done, the bank came back and said that they did the inspection and I still owe about $800. This is not my problem, I said. I had a deal with the dealer who said that I would walk and I would not worry about any exces wear and tear or mileage or anything…

I am appauled that Paul Mazza and Nick Truax (financing who jumped in when I was ready to walk because I could not afford the payment on the new car I wanted) unscrupulously wanted to sell me a car to all cost, not caring about respecting anything they said to me. I was naïve to think that I could trust them and did not ask that they put it in writing. I thought it was a routine business dealings and they know what they were talking about, aside from trying really hard to make a sale. And I have been in sale, I did not mind supporting a business that was part of the community I live in.

I am sorry they had to get me to go through this nightmare, the bank calls me everyday and sends me a mail all the time requesting payment. I have told them the under the fair credit act, I have the right to dispute the debt and I do not owe it.

,All this money seemed crazy for me, but I was buying, I thought peace of mind from car problem. All I wanted was a safe, reliable, and accommodating car for myself and my family. We were all coping of a long difficult family situation that left us all distraught, and we were trying to put the pieces of our life together and get a fresh start. Gates GMC Nissan Ripped me and ripped my children off of any hope to have a quiet, peaceful life as we are trying to start fresh.
