We met at the home, discussed needs of the home. He suggested things to improve the appearance of the home for sale. He stated, he would complete the job and that I would be proud of the results.
Two days later, He presented a contract, we reviewed the list of things he would do. The contract also stated he needed half of the payment to begin the job. I wrote him a check for $3,224.76. This was to begin the job to cover labor and supplies; the balance amount to be paid on completion and after inspection that I was satisfied.
I returned to the home two weeks later, the only work I could tell was done was that he removed the bamboo tile in the kitchen and the front bathroom. He used some type of abrasive removal that caused a foul odor and the white tile and grout under the bamboo flooring to turn black.
The first of August, 2013, Mr. Germany called me to say he was progressing on the job. He was cheerful, and began to imply that more money would be needed to achieve and complete all the items. I told him I would need to inspect the job before any more funds would be sent to him. I have not seen nor heard from Mr. Germany.
