I was looking for a Teacup Pomeranian puppy and found this really cute pic (my daughter actually found it on line) that had a phone number to text for information. 828-423-0680. So I sent a text to ask for information about the pup. She asked for my email address which I gave. I received an email shortly after mostly just stating the most important thing was to place the pup in a good caring home.

Some additional photos of LEON were included in addition to photos of a sister pup LILY. The email requested I answered some questions about how I would care for the pup, etc - (Trying to sound legitimate). I also gave my city and state location at this time. They never really answered my question on price or location yet. I was under the assumption this was a breeder. I was told the pups were 10 weeks old.

After answering all the questions, the next day I received another email saying they decided I would give a good home and would adopt out the puppy to me. I was still trying to figure out if this was a breeder or what was going on. As I continued to ask more questions I finally got the story about her husband being very ill with Cancer and just relocating to Madison City, IA.

I'm sure this location will change depending on the location of the next person who contacts her - becouse of course you CANNOT see the puppy first - they don't exist ! The illness was the reason for re-homing them. The puppy would be free - both would be free - all I had to do was pay for shipping. And the payment for shipping would be made from me to the transport company - so I was not sending any money to her - could be ok - I thought.

Well it sounded too good to be true. TWO - 10 week old Teacup Poms for a $470.00 shipping fee. How could I pass this up ? I was both excited and very leary.I asked a few more questions about how long she had them because if they were only 10 weeks - most puppies don't go home before 8 weeks. Something was not making sense. She then told me she adopted them from a shelter as little babies and was all ready to do the registration paperwork if I was ready to get them the next morning.

I asked for the name of the transport company. GLOBAL TRANSA. I decided to do a little research and THANK YOU to RIPOFF Report I read about many similar cases like this where people paid only shipping and were then asked for more money after the first payment and never got their pet !!

Fortunately I read this nd didn't get scammed - and hopefully will help someone else out there before you get taken !!
