There is a builder called Gold Creek Construction, owned by Dustan Sanders and located in Moscow, Idaho. He built a cabin for us where we paid cash. $22,000 with the materials charged at Moscow Building Supply. First of all, it was due to be finished by June 13, 2014 when we were moving from our Princeton house down to this new house. He KNEW it was supposed to be done but he kept taking off weekends and when we moved our furniture down, it ended up sitting on the deck in the wind and rain because the house was not finished. My husband had an argument with him. We had thought he was an experienced builder but come to find out, he did not know what he was doing. The house was only framed up and he did not end up finishing it until three weeks later. Luckily, we had a 5th wheel to live in or we would have been in trouble. He ended up slamming the rest of the house together.
The house is sitting on four pieces of 2 x 4 so not even a real support syste. If we had a good wind, it would probably blow over. The windows leak, the insullation he put under the house is loose and falling down. There are cracks of light coming through in the ceiling of the loft. WE should have had it build by a pole barn place where we would of had some kind of guarantee. We are very disappointed and would never recommend using this builder. He is a real sweet talker. He ended up charging for materials that we feel were not used at Moscow Building Supply. He probably took them and used them at his next building site. The flooring he put in rips, it is so thin, so we are going to have that redone. The whole house should be burned down and we should start over. Do not use Dustan Sanders for any building projects.
