Gold Key Resorts Reviews

I ran into a problem everytime I tried to use their, so called incredible deal, I bought an older unit, from a couple who was supposedly upgrading, for 16,000, instead of a new unit for 60,000, and was told my maintenance fees were $750 per year, but they said I only had to pay if I used the condo that year. First year, I was unable to go, they billed me for the maintenance, ofcourse I didnt pay it so, they took it to collections, $750 became $1197, so now I wont be paying for the condo either. Can anyone offer advice so I can get rid of these scumbags, I ve paid over 7,000 and they ve never done a d**n thing, I absolutely refuse to pay them another dime.

Gold Key Resort is a dishonest organization with salesmen that lie about their products at any cost. They offered us a timeshare and told us we could use it or exchange the week anytime we wanted for another location as long as it’s available.

They sold us week 52 and assured us that the week we bought could be used at any time. When we pressed and asked another manager, he reassured us that we should not be worried that we could absolutely use it at any time.

We have been unable to use the timeshare at all after trying for a year ahead of time.

Gold Key Resort later contacted us to try to sell us another week, saying that whoever sold us week 52 was a “poor” salesman. All we needed to do is to buy a high demand week and pay more money for it. Buying a high demand week would allow us to finally take advantage of the timeshare.

When we asked the new salesman why the company sold us something we could NOT use, he admitted that we were misled. The new salesman confirmed that the week we bought was useless. His actual response, when we asked him, if the product was useless is: "It's not useless, but it will be very, very hard for you to book any vacation out of it, because you bought a week that no one will want to exchange".

The people who sold us the initial week reassured us that week 52 could be used at anytime, over and over again. PLAIN LIE.

Needless to say, we turned down the sale and we are now STUCK with a useless timeshare and $8000 in the hole.

Please let consumers know about this SCAMMING organization. They should be arrested or at the very least they should be sued for selling useless products to people and then turn around and try to sell us yet another SCAM.
