Got Engines Inc. Reviews

I purchased a replacement 1995 Honda EX Accord engine on August 28, 2014 from GotEngines (Order Confirmation #242732). After engine installation the valves must be adjusted prior to diving the vehicle (per Got Engines requirement). At that time I noticed that all the rocker arm adjusting nuts and screws (valve lash adjustment) were seized (corroded metal parts). Seized means I could not adjust the valve lash without stripping the adjustment screws that are threaded in to each rocker arm. An excerpt from The Got Engines company mission statement reads: "We insure that the parts used in each engine are exactly what you are paying for—no worries about excessive deterioration and undue wear and tear on engine components." In my case "excessive deterioration" was the corroded rocker arm adjusting nuts and screws threaded in to each rocker arm. When I contacted customer service I was transferred and hung up on multiple times. I have corresponded via email to a Dale (email address: with months of dialog but no result. I have the entire email trail dating from today back to the time of the initial order. I would like to make note of the responses from Got Engines about my problem were excessively slow. Got Engines only cares about taking the money and then after that they don't want to discuss product issues that they claim to stand behind. Got Engines (Dale) asked me to send a quote for the rocker arm replacement (I have the email and quote if needed) which I did, Dale stated he would process that claim but never produced any result at all (sending me a replacement set of rocker arms) and completely stopped replying to my email follow ups. I filed BBB complaint and the company is finally responding but has refused to replace the rocker arms. I have offered multiple solutions such as Got Engines paying to remove and replace my engine to accepting a rebuilt head (comes with rocker arms) all of which have been refused. This company does not want to resolve this at all. All they have offered is excuse after excuse as to why they can't do anything for my complaint, juvenile responses and incomplete sentences as well.

I am out $900.00 for a broken engine. It has been a part-time job trying to reach this company. They offer a replacement engine, but not any of the labor costs associated with the broken engine they sent me. Dale is an absolute puppet master of not addressing an issue. He has claimed my ASE Certified mechanic broke the engine and that the average time to remove and replace an engine is THREE HOURS. Oh, and that $65 per hour is the going rate for an ASE Certified Mechanic.

RUN FOR THE HILLS! Maybe I can save you just a little of the pain I have suffered at the hands of this scam operation.
