, and their business “GRANITE COUNTERTOPS”.
On June 06, 2014 we signed a contract for remodeling our kitchen with them. On Tuesday of June 11, 2014 they came to our house, tore apart the part of the countertops and the backsplash, they also asked for deposit. As soon as they got the check for $800 they told us they have to go and will be back in one week. They cashed the check the same day.
One week passed and they never showed up, After we called them, they said that they don’t want to work today since its raining outside. They don’t want to get wet and will be at our house sometime next week.
Another week passed by, they still didn’t show up. We called them again, and this time they told us their saw machine broke but they will be at our house next week for sure. After one more week, they said their saw machine keeps breaking, they will do our kitchen on August 1st, and if the machine is still broken, they will give us the deposit of $800 back.
On August 1st they didn’t show up. We tried to call several times, finely they picked up the phone and said: “You call us too much, we install you counter tops when we have a time. If you can’t wait use someone else, but the contract clearly says your deposit is not refundable!!!”….
Their way of conning is very simple... They come to your house, take your kitchen apart, take your deposit and disappear. They hope you will not want to wait forever, eventually use someone else, and the contract says the deposit is not refundable…
These people don’t just steal your money, they like to tease you as well. They feel like you won’t be able to get your money back, so they laugh in your face about it. We are sure we’re not the first ones who got scammed by them. Who knows how many people have been ripped off by them? Im sure there are many!
IS THERE ANYTHING WE CAN DO TO STOP THESE CRIMINALS??
BOTTOM LINE…..PLEASE BEWARE OF FORTINO SOLORZANO AND HIS “GRANITE COUNTERTOPS” Company!! You will get RIPPED OFF!!! They stole $800.00 from me and my family!
