We hired Griffin Sheds to build a shed in our backyard after the shop my small business was locaed in was burned in an arson fire. We didn't have time to do proper research, so just went off the information of Griffin's Sheds website and talking to Danny Griffin. Told them from day 1 we wanted 10x12 shed with an outswing double door.
After pouring the foundation I saw Danny and his partner at the foundation with a level checking the height and acting frantic. When I walked over I heard them freaking out because they poured it too low for an outswing door. I cleared my throat to let them know I was right behind them. They then reassured me "everything's fine" and to trust them as they are "bridge builders".
Next day the electrician came to install the preliminary wiring and he mentioned that the foundation is too low and that I should tell them that. I told him I already did and they said it'll be fine and they are "bridge builders", which is actually pretty scary. The electrician said "I'm no bridge builder, but I know how to use a level and this foundation is way too low".
Danny never came back. He told me that Home Depot ordered the wrong doors and that we would have to wait 1-2 months for them to arrive, or we can just install an in-swing door, which is the only door that will actally open because the foundation is too low (the ground outside the foundation is actually higher than the floor of the shed!) After that 2 month period, we called him and he told me they ordered the wrong door again and we would have to wait another 1-2 months for a door to our shed. So, I asked him for the contact information of the Home Depot. I called them and they had no idea what I was talking about. So, we bought our own door and askd him to come install it. He never returned any calls and never refunded us for the labor and door we paid in full.
I own a small business and would never treat a customer like this, unless of coures I did not want to stay in business.
Liar and fraud. Best to stay away and use a reputable company.
