Guru's Computer Solutions LLC Reviews

Approximately 4 weeks ago I dropped off an Acer Aspire 5733Z-4851 laptop with a broken screen to "Dr. Guru" at his home located at 11604 Greenhaven Ct. Cincinnati, Ohio 45251. John Rencher told me personally it would cost eighty dollars for a new screen, and for some odd reason I "need a new operating system" for the "low" total price of $350 including labor. I happily left my computer with him for service under his word that my mother inlaw's laptop would be running in tip-top shape within 12 business days.

After 16 days of waiting with not a word from the "doctor", I decided to contact him, as my mother inlaw was growing more nervous and impatient by the moment that she would not have her laptop containing her financial and occupational documents in time to pay her bills. After SEVERAL unreturned phone calls, I decided to do my homework on said "Doctor Guru".

After a short online investigation, I discovered that "Doctor Guru" was not a doctor at all- nor was his business even a legitimate limited liability corporation as he claimed (and if he isn't a legitimate business, he clearly isn't a Microsoft certified vendor)! After sharing this with my mother inlaw (and receiving quite an earful on how foolish I was for falling for a scam like this), I decided to take action and pay him a visit at his home.

Upon knocking on his front door with no answer, I noticed the stench of marijuana smoke and Jimmy Hendrix music eminating from his garage. I peeped in the garage door window to witness the "Doctor" helping himself to a pipe full of marijuana stuck in his lips he has undoubtedly "prescribed" himself to, while he seemed to be "enjoying himself" to a frankly disgusting pornographic film playing on his personal computer. Before I could boggle my mind with the mechanics of how a one-armed man could possibly do all these things at once, I knocked on the garage door.

Quite startled, he threw down his hash pipe and paused his scuzzy flick so he could open the door for me. Immediately upon entry, my eyes welled up from the irritation the marijuana smoke that engulfed the entire room like a housefire provided.

At this point I decided to take my chances on repairing my inlaw's laptop myself, since he seemed to have no idea what I was even there beating on his front door for. When I asked for the laptop and adapter back so I could be on my way to another serviceman, he handed me two laptops that were not even mine before picking the correct unit from the pile of garbage encompassing his workstation. Suddenly, the laptop's adapter "had to have grown legs and walked away" according to the good doctor. Upon 15 minutes of stoned rifling, he produced an HP adapter that would at least fit the Acer laptop I dropped off, and I begrudgingly took it since the marijuana smoke was starting to make my asthmatic throat swell shut.

So here I am- Acer laptop with HP adapter... screen still broken... operating system mysteriously undamaged and in no need of repair/reinstallation... thanking my lucky stars I did not give this goon $350 out of my 21-month-old's college fund to "fix" this laptop that I could purchase new online for around the same price he was charging for repairs! DO NOT be fooled for a second by this crook! STAY AWAY FROM DOCTOR GURU! For more information on this burnout and proof he is illegally distributing Operating Systems, visit www.drguru.net !
