I was in Severe Pain in April 2013 and went to Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown Kentucky and when I got there the Triage Nurse seen me and admitted into a Room and a Nurse hooked me up to a EKG Machine and then walked out and then a woman come and took all my Insurance Information down and left me laying in this room for 5 1/2 hours and never seen a Doctor or a Nurse and so I waited all this time still in Severe Pain and nobody would help me...I got mad and so I unhooked the EKG Machine and I walked out and went home and called a Ambulance to come and take me to Norton's Hospital in Louisville and I was there in 35 minutes and when I got to the Emergency Room at Norton's Hospital come to find out that I had a Ruptured Disc in my Neck and so I was taken to the MRI Room and the results was devastating and I had a Ruptured Disc in my Neck and the Nurses at Norton's got ahold of the Doctor's who did my last Neck Surgery and was put in the Hospital and they did a fine job...My Complaint about Hardin Memorial Hospital is that I was charged the $65.00 and I am not paying the $65.00 for the Emergency Room visit and the Woman who runs this Hospital said I would pay it because I was hooked up to a EKG Machine and I still seen a Triage Nurse which she did nothing for me nothing at all...T
his Emergency Room is a total JOKE...They will let you set for hours upon hours and not even come and see you in a Room and they will tell you in the Emergency Room that all Ambulances get treated first and there is no way that this was not a Emergency of what was wrong with me...This Hospital wants the money but they don't want to help you in getting a Service that is suppose to be provided to you and the Insurance pays the bill but you still have to pay the Emergency Room Visit and I will not pay for a Visit that I did not get Service for...This is Insurance Fraud and taking your information and then not providing a Service and I also called Medicare and let them know that what they done is morally wrong...let me set in a room for 5 1/2 hours and then done nothing absolutely nothing to help me because of the Severe Pain I was in at this time...This Hospital needs to be Severely Investigated and find out what is wrong with this bad Service that they provide for this Hospital...They will never ever see the $65.00 for the Emergency room visit in April of 2013 and no matter what Services for the Debt Collectors they get I will not pay this and nobody else would pay it either...No Service, No Pay.
