I just finished my 84 month finance with Harley Davidson credit corp and to ny surprise i received a bill for $3,500.00 at the end of my contact. i called them several times and i have never recieved an answer what the charge is for. i asked for a copy of my payment history and a copy of my contract to makes sure something wasn't added after i signed it wasn't. i then added all of my payments and seen that i over played by $1,700.00. they added the extra i payed to interest. i was late a few times and played what i was behind and late charges. in addition i ran into some financial problems and they said i could skip a payment. i did as they suggested and the next month the charged me a late charge and billed for two months of payments. i struggled and over several payments i caught up. i don't know what to do. any help would greatly appreciated.

A recent investigation into using Harley Dabidsons Bike Builder reveals how much of a scam it is and how much additional money a buyer would have to spend to use the service. If you wanted to buy a new car and wanted to choose the specific options for the vehicle you would find that the msrp of the vehicle would be raised or lowered by the difference in cost of the item you selected as compared to base. If for instance you chose vinyl seats instead of the leather, the cost of the vehicle would go down. If you chose chrome rims instead of stock painted the price would go up. This is not the case with the HD Bike Builder. In fact, a close look at the prices shows that they do not charge the difference between the stock item on the bike and the item you selected, and in fact charge significately more for the selected part than what you can buy the exact same from their very own online store. I will give an example and you can research these prices yourself to see the massive over charge that is taking place if you use the Bike Builder.

2015 Wide Glide, list price $15,799 msrp. If you use the Bike Builder and add just two items (wheels and a seat) you can see in the following example what the price they charge you, the price of the item from their store, and the price of the item that they are removing from the bike that should be deducted from base price.

Slotted six spoke 21" front wheel $539.90

same wheel HD store $459.95

stock laced wheel $379.95

Slotted six spoke 16" rear wheel $539.90

same wheel HD store $459.95

stock laced wheel $354.95

Solo spring saddle brown leather $529.90

same seat HD store $299.95

stock seat $249.95

If you add front and rear wheel and different seat you will be charged $17,408.70 msrp

The price should actually be msrp, minus the cost of the items that you are taking off, plus the cost of the new items.

$15,799 - $984.85 + $1,519.80 for a total of $16,333.95

This is a difference of $1,074.75. That is a huge ripoff for the addition of just three items. If someone who uses this service chooses more of the options that are available with the HD Bike Builder tool the amount of money they are being overcharged increases dramatically.

Every person that has ever used the Bike Builder to customize a bike and then has purchased the bike has been RIPPED OFF.

DO NOT USE Harley Davidson Bike Builder to purchase your new bike. Buy a stock bike, take off the parts you want to change and sell them on Ebay. Purchase the parts you want (would suggest an online store that does not jack up prices because of the name like HD does) and replace them yourself. You will save a ton of money.

Beware if you take out a loan with this company. They will pad your debt and state you owe more than you actually do. I am talking thousands of dollars people, and it will take YEARS to attempt to straighten out the problem. They tried to gouge me for over 5K and I only owed them 560.00! It will take an Attorney and going to court to ever get results.

As another person posted, they will start calling any of the references you submit to them. They will call them repititively. You will need to file a complaint with the Consumer Protection Bureau if you are having any problems with this company, and or the FTC. The complaints will help you get some movement in resolving your problems with this company. Good Luck!

I am a 62 yr old female who moves faster than my yrs. This is my first Bike.

While looking for one the salesmen and the finance manager had told me many times over a period of 6 weeks that I had made the right choice. They knew I had not ridden before and had taken their classes.

I went with the Bike due to being told that it CAN be Modified to fit my 120 lb 4'11 frame. So I did. when signing for the High interest I was also told all Harley's are financed high and after 6 months I can bring the payment down so I would not lose the bike. Not to mention it could be bought back for full price within a time limit.

After I signed the mechanics said NO to ALL.. and the salesmen said ?I would get used to it....I was scared...rode it ..(3).. miles and my feet and hands..(they moved the grips).

did not work and I got hurt....broken shoulder on right and left wrist not

I am screwed for life plus Harley said they never heard of refi after 6 months...when I went to the dealership and called them to say I can not use the bike or stay at high pymts...they said...GOOD LUCK!!!!!...

no one wanted the bike not damages( landed on grass)...and only has 3 miles on it so now two days ago it was vountary repossessed and no one will help me and my credit is gone as my arms.......that's HARLEY and the HOUSE ZoF HARLEY DEALERSHIP
