I went to star tech institute. For six months I graduated but I never got my diploma then I found out that the school closed and I end it paying my student loan and no diploma I haven't. Being able to get no answers. I would aappreciate if someone can help me please. Langhorne, pennsylvania
I entered a complaint about this school years ago only to find out someone finally shut them down. Which is great that they're unable to steal or rip off anyone else; however, what about the people they've already ripped off and robbed where is our compensation for the money we have paid or the money that's been taken away from us? The US Department of Education garnished my checks from 2005-2008. When they finally stopped I was able to relocate out of state and start over fresh but I just needed to know why I never received anything in the mail stating I was paid in full. So I contacted the US Department of Education and spoke to a supervisor by the name of Pam Jones in the summer of 2008 were I was told that I was paid in full and no other payments were due. I then asked are you sure because if I owe any other monies I am able to pay them in full at this time. She stated once again you are paid in full no further action is required. Fast forward to 2014 I receive a call from a collection agency stating I owe $8,000.00 and some change. I disputed it stating I spoke to Pam Jones and she stated I did not owe any money at all and that I was paid in full. I then asked that someone pull that recorded conversation in which I heard nothing back now here it is 2015 and my taxes were taken by this company. So here I am again over ten years later of my graduation still dealing with the nightmare of this school. Something needs to be. Attended HCI in 2007 before government closed it down, I'm in desperate need of my transcript to continue my education and I have exhausted all options, called dept of nursing, dept of ed, written to governor menendez's office etc. called Fred Fritchet the president of the school at time of closing, former teachers, students, but NOTHING.
I attended this Institution to study Computerized Medical Office Assistant (CMOA). The school told me I was approved to attend, even though I had no GED or High School Diploma. Upon completing the courses, I find out the school was under Federal investigation the whole time. They didn't tell me this, yet they let me take out student loans to pay for something knowing I would be getting nothing in return!
I attended the school in 1999, and finished in January of 2000. I have tons of unpaid debt, no certificate and no way to pay these debts back! My husband's income taxes are always being taken due to my unfair loan debt to the government! I'm hoping there is a way for those people at fault to all of us can be held responsible for paying the debts they tricked us into.
They continued taking in students knowing full well we wouldn't be able to sustain ourselves in the world with the nothing they were giving us!
