I see there are severa lvery negative reports about Health Benefits Club on Ripoff Report. I too fell for this scam by phone. I told them no the first time they called. Not interested in magazine subscriptions. Later they called again. This time they mentioned Walmart, somehow thought it was something to do with Walmart's drawing, so didn't hang up. They wanted me to subscribe to two magazines. So I picked Readers Digest. That is how they got my card number. This was about a week ago.

Today in the mail I got a letter sayingt my membership package would arrive and my account had been debited $5.oo. After a ""free"" trial period of 30 days my account would be debited for $29.95 each month starting on the 7th. of each month.

I tried calling the customer service Department at 1800-628-5061 but got a message they were closed. I am thinking of closeing my bank account and opening a new one. This doesn't sound good at all. Seniors tend to be too trustful, or can't out think the masters of deception.

I thought this should be reported, as you can see these people are still in business!! They need to be stopped from defrauding the poor, and those who work hard for what money they have, It even makes it hard for honest people to make a living. How sad it is to be duped.
