My husband lost his job of 15 years and we were under pressure to get insurance so we were not in trouble. I got online with the Colorado Insurance Exchange and several insurance sites poppsed up. I had just entered our phone number when we received a call from George, supposedly a representative for Health Innovations Insurance out of Florida.

He explained the plan he was signing us up for was a complete plan. There were no copays and it included Dental, Vision and Prescription. He said the cost was 266.61/month. We were under pressure to find something so we signed up.

I gave him my credit card number and he said they only charged 266.61 to the card. I then had to listen to a bunch of disclaimers, which he informed me that 95% of the disclaimers did not pertian to us.

My husband received his insurance cards in the mail and we instantly had questions, because the prescription card we received was not an insurance card, but rather a prescription discount card.

My husband went to an office locally and got signed up for real insurance. He showed the insurance card to the person helping him and he was informed the insurance we had signed up for was a scam.

I then went online to view my credit card statement and found that over $460.00 had been charged by this company. When I called them to ask why, they informed me at that time that there was a $155.00 sign up fee. I was not told about this fee during my conversation with George. I've called 'George' several times since then and I never get him on the phone. I have since turned this company in to the Insurance commission and I have canceled my credit card so they no longer have it. I'm trying to get the money back they stole from me and this is ongoing right now.

Scam

Health Insurance Innovations are a smooth talking company who are deceptive in what they tell you. I was promised I had full coverage which included prescriptions, even dental and vision coverage. They are fast talking and you don't see anything in writing until after you have paid by credit card. Once I got my policy I read it. It was a joke, it covered nothing they promised. The coverage wasn't worth the paper it was printed on. I called the agent and they said they would look in to it that there must be a mistake. I didn't give them a chance to fast talk me again. Within a few hours I cancelled and called my credit cared company. I did get an email from HII that my policy had been cancelled. The next day I called them and ask for a refund. It was eventually added back to my credit card account. I should have know better when they promised so much at a cheap price. I later found West Florida BBB website and there were 326 complaints against this company. Stay away from Health Insurance Innovations, they are scammers and need to be shut down. .

There was a lot of fast talking and I was totally confused and told the other lady twice I could not understand what she was talking about because she was going so fast. She then asked me if I wanted to talk back with Diane and I said yes, as I was going to cancel it all. Well someone got on the line calling themself a Benifit Specialist and still got me to agree to whatever they were saying while I was crying hard. I was so upset by the time I got off the phone I do not have any idea what he was getting.

I was informed yesterday that $323.41 for the health insurance which is not health insurance and does not meet requirements, $25 for life insurance, and $50 for Accidental death or something to that effect. Showing he had no beneficiary it would go to estate which we wouldn't have agreed to anyway and they have an incorrect social security number for them. Also, there is this Freedome Elite10 that he is getting that is going to cost us $30 a month, then Extra Care Package for $25 a month. We cannot afford any of this and have already talked to someone else at Health.gov and are getting a legitimate policy (I hope)

This Company is SCAM ARTISTS

I told them I needed Health Insurance to avoid the penalties for not having Health care.I was told that this was the Policy it would have 0 Deductible and it covered everything from health to Prescriptions to Dental and Vision. I was told you can go to any Doctor, Dentist Or Optometrist and there would be no deductible and very little co pay. I was told the Policy would never increase and I would receive all this for 307.80 a month. I was told you could Cancel at any time and if you cancelled within the First 30 days you would get a FULL REFUND NO QUESTIONS ASKED!! Then I find out you are not allowed to use the Services until 30 days after acceptance. Then you find out you have several different policies so when you go to cancel they only cancel the Cheapest part of the Program and continue to charge you for the remaining parts taking it right out of your Bank Account. Now I'm in the process of trying to receive a refund and getting nothing but the RUN AROUND!!! SO BUYER BEWARE THEY ARE FRAUDULENT SCAMMERS AND THIEVES AND SHOULD BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS!!!!!

Moved states and needed health insurance since bcbs could not continue my insurance in another state. Health insurance innovation said they were insurance, i felt uneasy but elected it. Truth is, they are not insurance so basically they have taken my money and i am uninsured. Cancelling is a nightmare, they really attempt to prevent your ability to cancel. I'm going to report them everywhere possible. Don't be suckered, this company is 100% scam. It's not insurance and i'm now out a lot of money and i'm without health insurance. I now have to wait until next enrollment period with healthcare.Gov.

I was looking for a health insurance for my husband outside the enrollment and found this hii, the lady on the phone explain to me that it would be full coverage for $306.50. At the end of the phone call they transferred me into a person who does electronic signatures but you cannot answer any question, if you have any question you have to wait until the end of the phone call after signing. They are fast talking so i did sign the thing not even reading the policy because the person on the other line is just basically telling you what to do on the phone. After signing. I thought i'm pretty set on everything, i printed the papers that i sign and as of reading the whole thing, it says that "this is not a plan, and is not intended to replace health insurance". Which means it is only a supplement to health insurance and is not a substitute for major coverage that means we only get discounts!!. This is ridiculous, they didn't even explain that to me, here i am being so damn stupid signing without even knowing what i am getting into. Then after everything, before even the policy effective date started i sent a handwritten letter to cancel my policyBecause that's what they require you to do when cancelling membership) and few days later i only got $90 back. So i called them i said why only $90? Because they said i cancelled it too early for the freedom spirit plus plan so they won't give me my $131.00 back and it's too late.. I don't even know what the hell is that freedom spirit plus means. So that is a total of $226, i said what about the rest? Which is $80? They said that is the supplemental coverage, i can get it back once they talked to my husband. So hopefully i can get that $80 back today. Never sign up for this scammers, they will eat your money.

Don't get fooled by these guys. Talking to the rep., I didn't hear anything about this being partial coverage. They are done with

me now. I have to cancel my card but it is worth it. If I could rate this at negative stars I would : )

Please check for reviews on line and check credebility before committing to anything

It was last April that I was under pressure to have an insurance for my daughter for a summer scholarship in Denver. I tried to find insurance and finally I got hold of Health Insurance Innovation and was given a deal for $100. After signing up I was informed that there is a $200 signing fee and ended up paying 114 more for each month. I was away and my daughter completed her summer camp. Now since I moved to a different state and am not employed, I applied for an affordable insurance plan and told them that I have purchased insurance before. I have planed to cancel because it is not affordable any more. To make matter worse, I found out that they are not an actual insurance and you cannot cancel online but give you a toll free number. I have asked my bank to stop any type of payment to them and am trying to talk to them on the phone for a cancellation since they had so many disclaimers and signature involved.

The best thing to do is to avoid this easy on-line way which is not verifiable, and do old fashion is possible by at least going once to the site and making sure they are genuine. By the way thank you all for posting your experience since it saved me from continuing to be scammed.

If anyone of you have popular social media, please make this information available widely.

THE WORST!

I signed up for this as full health insurance through A1, was guaranteed full coverage, paid over $200 a month... when I actually needed to use any insurance the hospital called the company and they said they had no record of my membership, no record of my membership number, and no idea who I was!!!!!!! Cancelling was awful, I was transferred so many times, they tried to talk me back into some plan, and I was put on hold for... oh thats right, I'm still on hold, I've been on the phone trying to cancel this shit for over an hour. WORST EVER! I ended up also calling my bank to stop any payments to HII ever again.

HII, underhanded scam artists!

Please report them to The Federal Trade Commission like I did. They need to be put out of business. Then call Fox News because they had the CEO on there touting his alternative to health insurance mess. They are liars. They do not tell you what they really are, limited insurance. They blatantly told me they were a PPO group private health insurance plan, including dental, vision and with low co-pays and no deductible. I fell for it because I used to have great insurance like that and I thought this was a private insurance company through the Healthcare Market Place. I can't believe I fell for this. I was so tired after trying to find an alternative to our current option of 600-900 dollars a month. I thought they were from the Health Care Market Place and I thought they were a private insurance option. I did not want Obamacare. Our income can not survive that kind of fee for insurance. These people are scamming those in a tough spot, desperate to find something they can afford again. People who do not qualify for medicaid, but can't afford Obamacare. How could my own country do this to our family. Because of Obama we are now vulnerable to all kinds of evil, con -artist, scamming-criminals and immoral psychopaths.I am beyond angry. This is sick. I am so thankful Trump and this administration are going to get us back on track with health insurance. For the next year we may have to just pay penalties. Thankfully, I did not give these evil people at HII, ie; First Health, Simple Health, Legion Limited Medical any money. I realized by God's grace that they were a scam before signing the paper. I should not have given them my social and info. I issued a 90 day fraud alert to my credit bureau also. They will take advantage of you and tell you what ever you want to hear. I was so tired and stressed I gave this con artist all the info he wanted on me to make a sale. I cant believe I didn't hang up sooner! They gave me four different names for their company, the ones listed above. The contract outline was completely different than the quote. When I questioned what they were charging me for I got yelled at. They called other employees stupid and insulted mentally ill people. This is not a company this is a joke a scam. Why in the world are they still operating. Please alert the FTC and report these criminals.

This company will try every delay method possible to keep you from cancelling policy such as requiring dates you cancelled in e-mails or text youve sent to hanging up on you when you call. They keep presenting a charge to your bank for payment even after contacting them to cancel. Will not provide refunds if you can keep them on the phone long enough to explain why. Rude customer service as they will hang up on you if any critisism is shown or provided. The supervisor Carol is very proficient at doing this. A complete fraud as far as I am concerned. Presented as health insurance when enrolling but told after verification it is just a discount program. This company should be investigated at very least. Premiums are not only expensive but not what you are charged or what you pay for. Good luck if you need to cancel. They also require who your provider is. this is none of their business as far as I am concerned. Do not enroll with this company they are a complete farce.
