Hell's Foundry Reviews

  • Feb 2, 2015

I ordered Parts from Hells Foundry / Derik Jones and was charged immediately. No one EVER answered a phone at his office, I never recieved the parts. I did receive constant run around, was lied to constantly when I wasn't being totally ignored. I wasn't pestering anyone, I didn't call every day, I just assumed they were running a small business, not a complete SCAM. Checking Facebook and Message Boards he has done this to MANY people. AVOID Derik Jones and Hells Foundry.

In January 2014 I purchased a dash for my Harley from Hells Foundry's website. I immediately received a receipt mentioning my card has been charged $211.98...at this point I had zero concern, this seemed normal. Within 2 days I received another email stating that Hell's Foundry was moving their office and warehouse and orders would not be fulfilled until the end of February. Now, though mildly concerned, I understand the plagues of some small businesses, and resigned to be patient. Hearing or receiving nothing from Hells Foundry by the end of March 2014 I sent an email to a "brandon" who was the customer service rep at the time. No one answered the phone at anytime, I might add, not once from the time I placed the order until today. I am a "phone" guy, I resort to email as a last resort measure, bearing this in mind, when I sent an email asking for an update of my order at the end of March, I DID receive a reply from "brandon" the same day stating he will look into it and get back to me first thing in the morning. He never did, so after another 2 weeks of "patience" I cc'd the owner Derik Jones and "brandon" a receipt of the order and asked for yet another update (still trying every option when calling as well at this point) NO REPLY.

After numerous attempts from numerous phone numbers, trying every option at the automated menu including "New Orders" I send another email in June, a full 5 months from when they charged my card. I mentioned that they have charged my card and I would NOT drop this issue, that I expected the product or a full refund. This finally yielded a result, a call from Derik Jones. He was apologetic, mentioning that "brandon" was let go, and though he didn't directly blame "brandon" for the problems, he certainly insinuated as such. He also mentioned, disturbingly, that he had not in fact ever actually MOVED locations, and had no reasonable answer then, why my product never made it to my doorstep. He said he would look into his inventory and call me "Monday", having owned small businesses, I gave him the benefit of the doubt and told him I just wanted my dash, if he could get me that expeditied, i would be happy. Monday came and went, Tuesday came and went, so Wednesday (now July 2nd 2014) I sent an email asking why no phone call? Derik Jones replies a while later with "I have parts at paint now. I expect them back next week. I expect yours to be among them". Frustrated, of course, I felt some semblance of relief that i would finally (6 months later) be receiving my parts within the week (as Derik Jones promised to overnight at his expense). Happy enough, I replied that I would be more than happy to provide positive reviews of his products and mentioned that I understand how small businesses run.

I went about my day to day life, running my own business, and the weeks went by, no one at Hells Foundry answered the phone, I called frequently. Frustrated with the situation and email, I waited until exactly 9 Months from the day my card was charged now October 2014, Derik Jones did reply, asking for an update as he didn't recall the order or me. Confused as I assumed my order was unique at the time (he has SCAMMED so many people he can't keep them straight I guess) I kindly replied with a summary, and asked that he send the part to a new address and forwarded my receipt so he could track it more easily. When asked what the eta would be? He used the same line of BS as in February 2014 that his whole office is boxed to move and an ETA would not be possible. When I mentioned that I would just want a refund? NO ANSWER.

I am fortunate that this $211.98 didn't break the bank, I'm glad the dash was cosmetic and not necessary to ride my motorcycle. I not only want MY money back but I won't take MY money back until everyone I have spoken to has received theirs first. I urge you, if Derik Jones or Hells Foundry has scammed you out of your hard earned money, reply, comment or post here and get in touch with me. Lets spread the word. Don't let this guy steal from Bikers any more.

I ordered a lens cover from hell's foundry in May of 2014. When I didn't receive it in about a month I started calling and every since then I have been getting the runaround from Derek Jones and hells foundry. He told me that it would take a while longer as if they were having trouble with the manufacturing of this part. He told me that I would receive it in about 6 weeks. When 6 weeks came and went and I still didn't receive it I called him back I have had multiple phone conversations and emails with him every one of them promising me the part. After I realized I'm not getting the part ask for a refund I did not receive it so I contact the Better Business Bureau they have not been able to get ahold of him I would not order anything from this company Derek Jones is not a man of his word and has not made this right.
