Hendrick Toyota Scion Sandy Springs Reviews

  • Nov 18, 2014

The management staff at Rick Hendrick Toyota Sandy Spring is both unethical and incapable of keeping their word in an auto deal!

Also, Sr. Management at Rick Hendrick Auto Group (ie. Mr Rick Hendrick) couldn't respond to a corporate contact!

I attempted to buy a new 2015 Toyota Camry for cash. The two salesmen, David and Araon were great!

When attempting to pickup my vehicle on 11/13, I was kept there till after midnight. (There was $10,400 on a CC, $1,000 bank check,

$11,400 Certified Check (name misspelling on check) and last $1,500 was going to be taken after midnight) all was well according To management. At the last moment this wasn't the case! Showed up the next morning, 3 phone calls prior verified I'd get a ride to the airport.

I arrive at dealership, an arrogant manager behind the window informs me they don't give rides to the airport and did I have names of who promised me a lift to the airport. Subsequently, missed my flight, due to the level of arrogance I demanded all my funds be returned.

This fiasco cost me a $200 fee at the airport for a later flight, taught me to deal with reputable dealers, start a consumer

website to control dealers delivery fee's allowed in Georgia. (Not $599-$799), but, ($75-$150 as in controlled states) to protect fellow consumers from being ripped-off with unethical charges in buying a required item. Maybe it's time to start a nationwide coalition to demand ethics in the automotive sales industry. This would be like paying $1.00 extra for a gallon of 3.00 milk, or a $100 extra for buying a washer dryer combo. It's time for ethics and control in the automotive sales industry. Charging $600 to put a document in a computer or dealer prep. Dealers are already being paid by auto manufacturer's to deliver your vehicle. This double dipping that adds an additional 6% to the price of a $20,000 vehicle, along with the 5-8% sales tax. Let's start holding auto dealers accountable for this an all their other misdeeds. We need a couple of coalitions to demand ethics in this area and true accountability for lemons and other unethical deeds. NormW
