Hesperia Animal Control does not enforce the codes and ordinances of this City. I live in a 55 + mobile home park. I'm 78 years old. I was recently attacked by the dogs of another resident. Animal control did nothing. According to the local municipal code, a person is allowed only 2 dogs. There are people here that own 3 or more dogs in this community. There is one person that is breeding dogs and selling them here. The mobile home park manager is encouraging all this because he looks the other way and he continues to rent space here to people who have more than 2 dogs. This mobile home park is more for dogs than for senior citizens. Just about everyone here owns dogs. Some are big dogs that are a danger to elderly people, such as the ones that attacked me. I called 911 and the paramedics came. I have been on nerved medication since then. Later, I asked Hesperia Animal control is they had a report about it and they said "no". I told them that I wanted to make a report about it. She said they couldn't do it because they don't keep reports on a computer. I called the City Manager's office and they told me that Animal Control lied to me. That they do keep reports on a computer. I wanted to pick up a copy of the report but was told by Animal Control that I cannot get a copy of the report. Citizens of this community are not protected by Hesperia Animal Control. I live in San Bernardino County.
