I was looking for a french bulldog puppy and came across on for sale for $600 on www.hoobly.com stating this

These babies are now ready for a new home. very sweet and very playful. Great pups. They are current on shots and will come with registration papers. For more information and photos of my babies please call sarah @ ( ***) ***- ****.

On the ad it stated that they were located in Snellville, GA

I called the number and left message that was interested in dogs. They texted me back the next day, no call only text and said to email her a for information and pictures of dogs. So i emailed her that I was interested in buying dog and wanted some pictures and pricing information.

She replied back with pictures and information stating had only two blue french bulldogs left out of 6 and they are registered, up to date on shots, etc and they are $500 for adoption and delivery fee. She stated couldnt take care of them anymore due to her new job.

She asked me why i wanted this dog, have i owned this breed before, where am i located and how soon do i want it. I responded to let her know that I wanted one dog as soon as possible and that we didnt live far from her and could meet her and pick it up.

She stated that she just moved to Portland, Oregan address and that if we could'nt come to her she would ship the dog through a delivery service for $500. She needed my address to give delvery company and stated they would call me with arrival and departure date and payment.

I replied back and let her know that I have never done anything like this and did I pay her or the shipping company and had she ever done this before and that I needed to make sure this was legit.

She responded back very upset that I would accuse her of running scam and that I could trust her and that she is a christian and would never steal from anyone and she promised that the dog would be sent.

I apologized for offending her and gave her my address for delivery. She stated she registered dog with delivery company called UShip Pet Courier and they would be contacting me for payment. I got a call from 503-272-1207 a man with a Jamican accent stated they were UShip and that confirmation email was sent and that I needed to confim everything and pay them through Western Union and dog would be at my house in 8hrs. I asked how could dog get from Oregan to Georgia in 8 hrs he stated they were flying. I told him I would have to call him back because was at work. He continued to call and the third time I answered he asked why I was ignoring his calls and wanted money again and I stated that I would call back once I verified email and website to make sure legit. He said ok and hung up. I looked up information and saw that other

people have reported this same thing and that it is not the real uship company. I called # back to let them know that I know its a scam and no answer.

Do not trust these people. I am lucky that I did not give them any of my money because I would not be getting it back!

DO NOT BUY A PUPPY FROM HOOBLY!!!!

Please spare yourself the heartache and do not purchase a puppy from hoobly. My husband came in contact with Username frosted4475 who had 6 French bulldog puppies for sale. We purchased one by wiring the money at our bank. We live in Toronto Canada and Karla said her sister works for United airline and that the shipping would be free. A few days after she had recieved the money she told us the date and time of the flight that the puppy would arrive on. Then to our horror, no one showed up. We called and emailed Karla and got no response. After 2.5 hours of waiting at the airport, Karla contacts us and claims she sent us an email saying she couldn't get the papers from the vet in time to send the puppy. We asked if to send us a picture of her ID or a picture with her and the puppy as a confirmation that she is not scamming us. She wrote back an email saying if she was scamming us, why would she still be emailing and contacting us, but she never sent the proof we asked for. She said she would contact us with information on a new arrival date for our puppy, but never answered our calls or emails. Please learn from our very expensive mistake ($3,500.00) and don't purchase a puppy that you can't physically purchase.

Scams on Hoobly regarding puppies

There appears to be numerous scams dealing with dogs but no way to report these scams to hoobly to have them removed or to warn people

I would never refer someone to use this site

My finace had been searching for a sphynx kitten for me for our anniversary. He had been in contact with a lady named Erica Makayla off hoobly, she had waited a couple days to respond to him and claimed she couldn't talk on the phone due to being at the doctors with her child. She had this kitten posted for $200 and was located in Carthage, MO a couple hours from our home city. They then texted for multiple hours asking questions about this kitten. She then began to tell him she had recently moved to Albuquerque New Mexico and would have to have the kitten flown to us. He asked if the $200 was still the price and she said it would be $420 to ship this kitten to our house. Since it being our anniversary he wanted it delivered the night before and she told him it wouldn't be an issue. She went to an agency to have all the paperwork filled out and all he had to do was pay via Western Union. He repeatedly asked if he was being scammed and she got very defensive saying she wouldn't do that to someone and her sister had used this company before. He proceeded with the money transaction and the agency sent him a confirmation and flight times. The money order had went through to a Cheryl located in IL. The flight was to depart at 8 p.m and arrive in our home town the next morning since it would've landed too late that evening. After all the flight details and confirmation we got multiple calls from a man through Air Animal Pet Movers claiming before this kitten was sent to us we had to come up with $1200 for pet insurance and would be refunded back to his acct after the kitten arrived on our door step. We told the man we hadn't been notified of this previously and he stated we would not receive the kitten until this was paid and we would not be refunded our $420. Needless to say I am very pissed off and upset that people would make you believe an animal needs a home and then scam you to get whatever they can out of you. I will be looking further into this and filing complaints to wherever necessary.

My sister was contacted via an unknown source that her dog pictures on Puppyfind had been copied to Hoobly.com by Chrswny9657 and other Chrswnyxxxx. This is fraud and I cannot contact anyone including Hoobly, Chrswny. These are not his dogs, I do not believe the Hoobly member even has dogs, and all information is a lie. I have flagged the pages many times, my sister cannot get them removed, this is a total scam from Hoobly.com and Chrswny9657 and all Chrswnyxxxx.

Just notify scam post on FB place them on BLAST

what you can do post their ad stating it is a fraud also FB it alert every one you can . I have had my puppies pic stolen and advertise as if they were theirs so scum bags are everywhere. just use your senses not to buy out of state or view in person . .Buy Only from a Reputable Breeder that you know or have been referred. you know these inbred people give a bad name to reputable breeders.
