I'm posting this so maybe someone else can avoid going through what I had to just to get a ebike. I recently purchased a bike from hosking motorsports in Belleville and it has caused me so many problems not just the bike itself but the people at hosking also. They released the bike to me without a horn or proper working light they also are supposed to perform and inspection pdi which they charge you to do.
They never did any such inspection on my bike in fact they actually had no idea if the bike was 100 percent working or not but they released it anyways when I noticed that some of the logos and other things were missing from my bike I asked the lady at the store if we could possibly get some brought in as they were supposed to come with the bike her response was give me a (profanity)... ing break. And my gf was the person who gave me the money to pay for the bike I explained to her I just wanted what I paid for and she looked at me and screamed you didn't pay for (profanity).
The bike the released me had cruise control wired when it never should have if you flipped up the kickstand with the lights on the bike would drive by itself no joke.
I took the bike back to hosking a few times like 3 days after when a brake bolt snapped I live less then 2 km away they charged me 25 dollars even tho it was only 3 days that didn't bother me so much but when I brought the bike in to hosking motorsports they told me that if all the bikes issues were not resolved when I got it back then I could get a full refund he told me they changed the 2000 battery pack which was part of the problem I tried to use my bike and it was even worse then before he also lied to me told me they changed the pack and I contacted daymak directly and found out he did no such thing.
There tech that was working on the bikes told me that he wired a 12 volt horn directly to 60 volts I'm not a electrician but I know that the voltage has to be dropped. When I went to get my refund from hosking motorsports they were telling me I had to contact daymak Toronto to see if they would yet before he said I could get a full refund when I called daymak in Toronto they told me that it's up to hosking to provide a refund of that because they sold it to me I called hosking back that I was going to be bringing the bike in
I went to ride my bike back there it was raining and because hosking tech work is so bad the throttle wire was not properly sealed like I had ask them to do but they said it's supposed to be like that my bike stopped moving no power to motor water shorted out the throttle connection I had to push my bike 4 km to get there soaking wet and have hosking motorsports take 1000 off the money off a bike they had longer then I did I posted a few ads on other sites and hosking took them down I had a bunch of people with very similar stories I don't wanna see anyone else sold a unsafe bike like I was I could have got it a accident
I'm still very upset that I am now out 1000 and have no bike was sworn at lied to and treated like a number whatever you do don't buy any hosking motorsports products they will treat you like gold until you come in with a problem with your product and now they have to do something to cover warranty trust me these people need to be shut down please spread the word to others
